Hi, I am trying to flash BIOS on this chip Winbond 250256JVFQ from a TYAN mb, I am using black ch341(not modded) which is confirmed to be working. I tried it with a different 8 pin BIOS chip and no issues there. I am using a SOIC16 clip and all the pins are in the correct position, using the latest version of NeoProgrammer. What could it be? I ran out of options, maybe the chip is dead itself, but the board has two and I find it very unlikely that both somehow died.
Did you confirm IC PIN layout to modify on the clip pins to the CH341A…

On a washing machine or a vacuum cleaner board?!?!?!?!?
A tyan motherboard. I already removed the chip.
That’s the spirit, all the best.
I saved the wiring match up from my Dell Vostro 3670 bios rescue job. Same chip:
1 to 7
2 to 8
3 to 9
4 to 10
5 to 15
6 to 16
7 to 1
8 to 2
It looks like you have to switch the upper left 8-1 and 7-2 to 7-1 and 8-2.
Clamping that thing is tough. I did it so many times that I had to use a 2nd clamp. Good luck.
