E3-1270 v6 on ASRock H110M-DGS R3.0

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to replace a G4560 with an Intel Xeon Quad Core E3-1270 v6 on an ASRock H110M-DGS R3.0. I understand it’s not oficially supported but I can make it support with with a BIOS mod.

Would using Intel CSME System Tools v11’s Flash Image Tool to set Intel ME Kernel → Reserved to True be enough to make it work?

E3-1270 v6 is 3x cheaper than a 7700 on the local second-hand market.

Thank you!

Tried with several BIOS versions (7.50, 7.30, and 7.10). I also tried modifying the ME version to Corporate + disable in CoffeeTime.

When I turn the PC on, all lights turn on and fans start spinning, but after less than a second, the PC turns off automatically.

try my version
H11MDGS37.50.zip (5.1 MB)
if it dont work too, please use a spi programmer to flash.

Thank you! I will try it a bit later today. I’m curious what modifications you did. Thanks again!

Seems that it doesn’t work. It still turns itself off automatically after under 1 second. Thanks!
