A bit offtopic, would it be possible to enable SR-IOV on Prodesk 600 G5 MT?
Just wanted to follow-up with what I ended up doing.
I could not figure out how to get passed the protections on the G5’s, so I purchased some G4 motherboards off eBay and replaced the G5 motherboards in my machines.
I have been easily able to do this mod with the G4’s and have done it now 6 times without any issues. Since there is very little in terms of what the G5’s offer over the G4’s, this was the easiest route to take.
Thank you to the OP and everyone else who helped me along the way!
As a side note, there appears to be no physical difference between the boards on both models other than something HP must have enabled on the newer version…
Thanks for the feedback.
Would you mind to post some detailed sharp pictures of the G5 mainboard, lets say a good fourth part of the board per pic?
Did you check bios settings for something like that:
(Pic is from Lenovo Thinkbook 13th gen)?
Most suspect is the GD SOIC8 marked in white, it’s GigaDevice and I think I can read 25B127 what would be a 128 MBit chip??
The three ones marked in yellow are less suspect, but could you give the type for them, too?
Any update?
