Hello.
I have a Clevo 770dmg, and I want to use 9th Intel core.
May I simply use this method modify my present bios?
If not, what else should be carried on?
Thanks in advance, looking forward to your reply.
Thank you very much svarmod and dsanke, I successfully modded and flashed BIOS 3805 on my Z170 Pro Gaming with a QQLS
Hi @mooms I got a question regarding your QQLS setup - does this CPU requires shorting two pins for SKTOCC signal to work properly? Iām checking quide on aliexpress store and they only mention bios mod, there is nothing about shorting the pins for this CPU to make it work on Z170/Z270 so Iām curious. Also did you do any other pin mods for this ES CPU?
Oh that is very nice! I just got order one QQLS for my Asus Z270 and was wondering about it. Thx 4 info.
Any chance developing a Coffe Time that works on Clevo P870DM-G stock bios?
What is the procedure with this new CoffeeTime tool for Maximus IX Extreme and latest 1301 BIOS? Do i need to patch and click everything so it is green? Anything special i should do or avoid? ME version in BIOS is 11.8.50.3399 - should i replace it with the higher corporate version 11.8.77.3664? Also for VBIOS+GOP? Microcodes? Is the socket enable mod still necessary with retail 9th gen CPUs? If i save image as a CAP file can it be flashed with the USB Flash Back board feature? What name?
@mooms
IĀ“ve a z170i Pro Gaming and a QQLS working great with a moded 2003 BIOS.
IĀ“m going to try to install a new 3805 moded BIOS and IĀ“d like to ask you which ME Version and VBIOS version I should set.
Also, did you applied all patches and fixex? (I guess PCIe 1440 is not needed)
Thank you in advance!
Here is the BIOS 3805 prepared with CoffeeTime 0.99, pay attention to ME, VBIOS + GOP, and microcodes. ME version is not really important as long as itās disabled.
PCIe 1440 is only needed with 6c/12t (QQLT).
@mooms
Thank you very much, I got it ready, IĀ“ll try it tomorrow.
I hope it helps to improve RAM speed (2800Mhz stable atm) and with adaptive VCore thatĀ“s not working fine with 2003.
On coffeetime0.92, thereās an option for nvme fix. What does it do actually?
No need for insulating the pins too?
Anyone here was able to successfully make a modded bios for the Z270-A pro motherboard?
hey everyone,
has anyone tried qqls on a M10A ?
to use a z370 board with an ES cpu do i need the pin mods? (SKTOCC or GND isolation)
No need for pin mods with ES samples - chineses selers already cover required changes in their PCB. If you still feel uncertain why not ask directly to seller and let him know your MB model.
I have an ASUS Maximus IX Formula (z270). Trying to modify the 1301 bios to work with the 9900k CPU.
Already performed the hardware mods to the bod.
Has anyone succeeded here? What settings/micro codes do you recommend to set in Coffee Time?
Any advice is appreciated.
9900K microcode is 906EC. Just google for "Microcode Update Guidance" also CoffeTime should show some tips on which one to use for which CPU.
If you scroll few posts back you can find screenshots for QQLS which is engineering sample for 9900K and all the settings that work for it should work just as well for you.
Hi dnatwork,
I see you have a DeskMini H110 and you had freeze issues with it:
Redirecting
Mine motherboard is rev.1.02 used with i3-6100 (SkyLake) and I would like ask you which version of the motherboard your deskminis have, you wrote one of them has the freeze issue but the other one has not.
I know someone having rev.1.03 and no issues using G4600 and i5-7100 (both KabyLake) and read a lot of forum posts from users having this issue using different cpu-s (both SkyLake and KabyLake).
forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=17021&title=solution-for-intel-graphics-freezing-system
I already talked both to ASRock and Intel support but no solution found. I suppose this issue could be related to hyperthreading or hw vrm related and maybe ASRock changed something for the rev.1.03 to handle this. Other option could be memory settings (timing) or soc voltage.
@Afaiku - Thanks for your guidance . I found the other thread and confirmed that the microcode for the 9900k is 906E3 but includes the other two from the example as well. Does anything look off in my settings?
