Via XTU I did try changing the vcore offset from 130 (what it defaulted to) to 160. It was around 1.38v - 1.39v.

Hi everyone! Got an old Acer SFF PC with Pentium G4600 CPU, dumped its BIOS with FPT with no problems, but there it goes…CoffeeTime 0.99 can apply some patches, and change ME, but can’t replace microcodes and change VBIOS + GOP. I’ve used MMTool to replace microcodes, but i’ve stuck on VBIOS and ACPI tables.

UBU v1.80 can’t modify them either. Can anyone help me with solution? BIOS dump here

i keep seeing “copper tape” mentioned here, i assume this has to be conductive on both sides? because most of the “copper tape” that i find isn’t conductive on both sides. one side has to have adhesive which won’t conduct electricity, at least not reliably.

can anyone confirm if it’s enough to short the socket pins or is it necessary that the short also goes through the cpu pads?

because in that case, i can stick something to the two pads on the cpu that need “shorting” with something that unites the two socket pins (i.e. just buy any “copper tape”). the pencil trick doesn’t seem durable and i assume these pads won’t accept solder sticking since nobody ever mentions it.
