I wrote without spaces, but it just hangs everything and I had to turn the computer off with the power button ;-(

maybe you could help me in flashing this bios? I asked people on the forum of Asus, who wrote that everything works great with them, but nobody answers.
I modified Bios UEFiTool as in the guide on this topic. I see that there was a guide on MMTool, but it is unavailable. Can it matter? Fernando checked my modified bios and claims that it looks ok. I do not know how to flash, I know that in this manual from the ASUS forum they did it with the help of Afudos.

@kosi - Show me image of what you are doing with AFU. What version of AUF are you using? Is that the same version they discuss using on Asus forum, and do they mention using that exact version for your motherboard model?
I do not use AFU, so I canāt help with that too much, but I can help you with FPT but it will involve more steps on your end, so it may be best for you to make your own thread and put all this into that, then I can help you easier.
Yes, MMTool or UEFITool can matter, all depends on BIOS. Please link me to the modified BIOS you are using, so I can see if itās encapsulated or not because that may matter to AFU/AFUDOS

Yes. Intel i 7gen4. I found Afudos ver 4.4 and succesful beckup and modyfield bios
next step is Try to flash modified file back using AFU modified.rom /P /B /K command> and thats it? Thats All?
Or then your our BIOS have SMI lock and BIOS lock disabled, so you can use FPT or flashrom to flash it too, and your modified BIOS is now flashed?
How push with ftp or flashrom?
Since itās Intel System, you can flash via FPT using this guide, pay attention to the warnings, you will need to redo your modifications before using this method

So if i try flash modified file back using AFU modified.rom /P /B /K and AFU modified.rom /GAN is no risk to brick bios?
My Bios is 100% write protected

@nicram4ever - No, anytime you flash BIOS, even stock, it can brick BIOS, so risk is always there. But in general, no, those are normal commands, either it works or it doesnāt, sometimes appears to work but no changes (ie not flashed)
All Asus BIOS are like this, so your situation is normal we deal with all the time, thatās why there is those threads/methods/guides etc.
If you want my personal opinion, yes, use my guided method with grub/FPT, itās more reliable than AFU. But, AFU, when working version/method is found, itās easier for most users to do that way.
To use my method, you must make backup of BIOS region per the guide, and then modify that again to reflash with.
You cannot use .CAP BIOS or any encapsulated BIOS with FPT, so please follow the guide closely and exactly, and stop if you have any errors, do not try to proceed, show image of the command entered and error.
I know that is posibility of brickin by any flashing. But hire is a big risk.

@nicram4ever - I cannot tell if BIOS is encapsulated by file name, no one can even if it says .cap that is not confirmation since you can name things anything you want

You have to open file in UEFITool, do you see āAMI Aptio Capsuleā = encapsulated at top/middle area, or UEFI Image only?
If you are still unsure, upload the file I will check for you.
AUFDOS doesnāt matter, you can use either.
Intel FPT you cannot use encapsulated files, and if you follow the guide it wont matter, because you will make a backup first from your actual BIOS onboard and will modify that to reflash, so it would never be encapsulated anyway since itās not from Asus download, only directly from your board and created by Intel FPT so would be .bin/rom

So Its not relevant in AFU is it .211 or .rom?
@nicram4ever - Always confirm what it is, if using Intel FPT, otherwise you can brick your system. Yes, if using AFU it doesnāt matter. I checked, that is encapsulated BIOS as you mentioned (AMI Capsule file), renaming to rom or bin would not make it rom or bin, only extract body from capsule would.
However, donāt do that and use it, you will loose serial #, UUID, and possibly LAN MAC ID
If you end up using Intel FPT, make backup as the guide warns. If you need me to remod your backup then upload it for me and tell me what you need done.
@Lost_N_BIOS I have an Asus K55VD and i tried to flash a modded rom via afudos with "afudos (romname).rom /GAN in dos mode by usb,and it succeeded , but with no changes at all. I have flashed it with /GAN. What can I do in order to flash it?
Actually there is no AFU utilities for Aptio.
I think it would be better remove this link and any other links to AMI website because there is only new version of flasher utility 3.09.X. This version does not have /GAN parameter.
Last version it has is 3.06.1. Iāve tried to find it in the Internet but failed. At last Iāve found ver. 5.05.04 with working /gan.
@Draver - yes, AFU w/ /GAN and regular AFU sometimes can appear to flash fine but actually flash nothing. There is several other methods to try outlined here [Guide] How to flash a modded AMI UEFI BIOS (27)
I suggest my method using FPT since this is Intel system, please pay attention to the warning on my guide! My method is linked at end of #2 in above page
@Axle - there is plenty of AFUxxxx for Aptio 4 and 5, maybe not at AFUās site, but they are out there (even v5 w/ /GAN option as you mentioned).

I do not know why the found version is 5. The modified date is 2014-01-22 14:51:22. The newest version at AMI site is 3.09.X for Aptio 4.

There is never any information about /GAN that is ES/Engineers version/information, not meant to be public so they donāt post stuff like that at their site.
Thereās no new info needed, same applies you either have the version that allows /GAN or you donāt, there is versions that work with /GAN for Aptio IV and V
This version does not have /GAN. There is no reason to download it if /GAN neeed.
I pointed to this forum and this topic thatās called Guide and anyone like me hopes that links are right but they donāt.

No publically available version from AMI will have /GAN and we canāt link the ones that do here - did you read what I said about that?
Links are correct for downloading public AFU Files, AMI site has been changed, for now new links are above CodeRush will update links when he gets my notification above. You already have latest version that allows /GAN for Aptio V, so no need to look further, that is all there is (The one you mentioned).
If you need for Aptio IV, google for AFUDOS 3.06.01 or send me PM. Page 4 of this thread has link to 3.04 version that supports /GAN, but 3.06.01 is out there, maybe better results for you if you donāt use Google.
AFU is not very reliable and outdated method of flashing BIOS. What is your motherboard, if Intel based and at least semi-modern (has Intel ME) I can help you flash in much easier way.
