did the skeptic notice anything new recently?
first it seemed the fixes were legitimate OpenGL
now i had chance to try 24.9.1 driver, OpenGL benchmarks went up by another 4-5 FPS
furmark has same score as on win7, gravitymark and valley even higher FPS improve than furmark
it appears there were several stages of OpenGL fixes, first one in 22.7.1 and other(s) up to 24.9.1
so they might not have used wrapper directly, but used DX11 patches in OpenGL driver, which shouldn’t be bad, not unless they fix it too much
the end result is observed in valley:
with old drivers you see nice rendering quality in OpenGL
with DX11 there are some transparent blackish horizontal waves during scene end and in scene 10 where is thunder lightning something almost like a tearing at the moment lightning hits
with new drivers same things are happening with both DX11 and OpenGL benchmarks
