@ Scoty:

Read the first post on how to use CSME 12 FWUpdate tool.

I use now the v12.0.40.1433 on my z390.

Is there a ROM for the Intel ME FITC as shown in the snippet from HWInfo64 I attached?

I don’t understand that question, it makes no sense. Read the first post if you don’t understand what Flash Image Tool (FIT) is.

I am familiar with the FIT. In fact I just used it to update my firmware with your binaries. You can see this by the version number of the first two entries in my attachment. I am supposing that these entries are the versions that are now flashed into my BIOS. But what about the third entry? What is it? It must be some binary that is flashed into the BIOS like the other two entries. It isn’t the same thing as the software FIT. My motherboard as a built in Flasher called Q-Flash. Could the third entry be referencing this?

FITC = FIT. Your OEM used FIT v12.0.22.1310 to build their SPI image which is now flashed on your system. The use of FWUpdate tool to update the actual firmware on top, does not change that.

Sorry for all the questions but as they say there are no stupid questions (debatable IMO). Anyways, I see references online to a utility called FITC.EXE. Is this the same as FIT.EXE? Also I am not clear if the FITC shown in my screenshot is the BIOS based Q-Flash as it is known in Gigabyte boards…

At my post above I said that FITC or “Flash Image Tool Configurator (?)” = FIT or “Flash Image Tool”. It’s a different name for the exact same tool. QFlash has nothing to do with FIT.

can be used with FWUpdate tool to upgrade the version of Intel ME without configuration with Intel Flash Image Tool (FIT)?

Yes

Hi, i have asrock z87 extreme4 bios version 3.50, win10 x64, what version of MEI driver without software should i install? thank you.

Hello!

Please share intel flash image tool 12.0.0.1069.

Thank You!

I don’t do that on demand. You can use the latest FIT from the CSME System Tools v12 of the first post.

I cant open dump with regular v12 CSME sys tools. Me analayzer says it was built with 12.0.0.1069 so i think it will open it. Same as was with ES sample dump that only 1020 could open it. All other whre "reverting to defaults"

Yes I am aware. There are CSME 13 drivers for ICL and CSME 14 for CML. CSME 14 covers CSME 13 drivers so I don’t understand why two branches exist. Anyway, these platforms are not released yet so people should use CSME 12 drivers until we know more.

HI!

Could you help me which is the correct CSM system tool version and firmware? I know the install steps, but have to many difference.
I think so the Intel firmware is not enough.

Thank your time and thank you the amazing works!
Respects!

I don’t understand what you’re asking. I assume you mean CSE and not CSM. You have a 200-series system with CSME 11.8 firmware so the equivalent tools must be used from the first post.
