Any update for 11.8.96.4657_CON_HP?

I don’t know what _HP is, I’ve never heard of it…

You don’t have a version intel ME 11.8.96.4657 for LP for the i5-7200U consumer LP processor for Chipset SPT/KBP-LP C?? I’m talking about this file FWUpdLcl64.exe

LP is for low power aka laptops and such HP is for high power aka desktop. i was wrong it should be just H. so 11.8.96.4657_CON_H, sorry for the typo.

@martin4562
This executable is the tool itself (Firmware update utility), often not likely to be found in latest packs in their latest versions, as its not mandatory to be the same version as the firmware and related operations.

The 11.8.96.4657_CON_LP_C is already posted, 2 days ago… any problem with this file?

@abdulhkeem
Very wrong and it can lead to further damage in a non-verified (MEA) system and the current SKU used.

All discovered SKU are mainly posted here upon their discovery… if not yet posted is because no one has found it yet, to provide such FW image version, all that users have to do is wait for it, the thread also appreciates any user effort to find it.

I am just asking if anyone has the newer 11.8.96.4657_CON_H which i make sure is my SKU as you put it, i checked it along time ago with MEI64.exe from command line/powershell firmware version ends with H.

@abdulhkeem

No, there is no newer than 11.8.96.4657. If there was (and someone had found it), someone would have posted it here. So it’s completely useless to ask if there is a newer one of this or that.

that is LP not H i am looking for H specifically.

@MeatWar
the problem is that I can’t find FWUpdLcl64.exe for version 11.8.96.4657_CON_LP_C and if I remember when I downloaded the previous version, FWUpdLcl64.exe was packed with the previous version, where can I find it??

@martin4562
Damm it… is my English so bad or understandable???
ITS NOT MANDATORY to a certain upgrade version till its requires SO FOR A NEW utility version.
There’s no need to use the same version of the FW image for operations.
Use for example, the 11.8.95.4565 version of the tool, posted somewhere on this thread, March time around i believe.

I have no knowledge of some one posting that version of the tool (11.8.96.4657), already in this forum.
Many FW images shared here by users, do not contain the respective FW tool or same version as the FW image, its widely common and general knowledge among the community.
The latest version will be later (possible) shared here when some one gets a copy of it, understood now?

As MeatWar wrote, there is no 11.8.96.4657 tool (at least no one here has encountered it yet), just as he wrote that there is no need for it.

i got this in error log file , Error 8771: Invalid File

FIT (12.0.85.1919) cannot open this image

Error 236: Failed to load input file. Invalid input file type.
Error 42: Failed to open with processed commands.

the last version it opened successfully was 12.0.94.2380_CON_H_BA_PRD_EXTR

@Simani , @dartraiden

Unfortunately, I have nothing useful to write to any of you. I will only share the files that the MEA says are new. There are people here who know more about this than I do, so hopefully they know the solution to both.

I compared several firmware.
There is a garbage at the beginning of the file

Good (First 16 bytes are FF):

Not so good:

After removing the garbage, FIT opened the firmware without errors.
