While I was modding the BIOS for ASRock Z170 Extreme4+ I found out that the onboard Intel HD Audio supports loading of different Audio DSP Pre/Post-Processing Modules.
The BIOS supports the following modules:
Waves
DTS
IntelSst
Dolby
Samsung SoundAlive
Samsung SoundBooster
Samsung EQ/DRC
ForteMedia SAMSoft
Custom Module 'Alpha’
Custom Module 'Beta’
Custom Module 'Gamma’
From my understanding the DSP modules have to be in injected into the UEFI BIOS to make use of them.
Does anyone know the GUID of the modules or have any dumps of it ?
