Intel(R) USB 3.20 eXtensible Host Controller - Driver Request

hi !!

im using the mpg z590 gaming carbon wifi with an 11700k - windows 11.

i have the latest intel chipset drivers installed - but i just cant find the intel 3.2 usb drivers ANYWHERE !! its not on the intel website, it doesnt come with the chipset drivers, its not on any forum, including this one

can anyone guide me to find the drivers for this ? thank you !

Thats because they are MS OOB drivers on such modern OS like W11…and they come from the Z590 and native Windows 11 support.
You may have an HW issue of those controllers or Windows image corruption, assuming bios settings related are standard.

A clean OS installation: Intel(R) USB 3.2 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.1(2)0 (Microsoft)

okay !!
however, i swear intel themselves released drivers for usb controllers before…
with that being said, has anyone modded the drivers for intel 3.2 controller like fernando?

thank you !

They did, when NEW hardware controllers needed driver support on previously released OS, were talking of a modern OS now, so you won’t find any “Mod” drivers to current modern OS like W11 and new controllers.
Sir i do OS reinstallation on plenty of 500 series from costumers… the issue is on your side.

And by coincedence , i have here rigth now a costumer system ROG Strix B560-G Gaming Wifi… just fresly re-installed…what else can i say.

Welcome to the Win-Raid Forum!

An USB driver has never been part of Intel’s “Chipset Drivers” (that are just simple text files!).

If you have installed Win11 correctly and its Device Manager doesn’t show any yellow flagged device, there is no reason to worry about a missing USB driver. The original OS Image contains a generic USB driver, which supports all modern USB Controllers from all chipset manufacturers.
Here is the requested guide:

  1. Run the Device Manager and expand the “USB Controllers” section.
  2. Right-click onto the listed device beginning with “Intel(R) USB 3.20 eXtensible Hostcontroller”.
  3. Choose the options “Properties” > “Driver” > “Driver Details”.
  4. Now you will see the name, the manufacturer and the path to the driver (= *.SYS file).
