Thank you for the advice

My system Win 10 1709, ROM v 8.0.0.1038 ICH10R wRAID 5, should i try to install WHQL 13.2.8.1002 with the -Nodrv switch to keep 13.44.0.1026 ?

Thank you

You can try that, but it is no problem to return manually to the in-box driver at any time.
Anyway I recommend to update the Intel RAID ROM module of your mainboard BIOS to an RST platform version (minimum: v10.1.0.1008, better: v11.2.0.1527).

Update of the start post
Changelog:

  • new: 32/64bit Intel RST(e) drivers v16.0.1.1008 for Win8-10 dated 12/13/2017
  • new: Intel RST(e) Drivers & Software Set v16.0.1.1008 dated 12/17/2017

Notes:
  1. The above mentioned drivers are digitally signed by Intel (no WHQL stamp yet) and usable with all Windows Operating Systems from Win8 up. Only Intel 100-Series/C230 Chipsets, 200-Series Chipsets, X299 Chipsets and other Systems with an Intel Skylake or KabyLake CPU are natively supported by these drivers.
  2. Thanks to Fdrsoft resp.Station-Drivers for the source package.

Very soon I will install them onto my Z170 system and report here about my first impression.
Update:
Meanwhile I have installed the complete Intel RST(e) Drivers & Software Set (just for testing purposes) and didn’t find anything to criticize.
Here are some pictures:

I wanted to try the v16.0.1.1008 driver but I can’t install it. It ends with the info, the system is already up to date. I’m wondering. The v16 beta worked.
My system is Windows 7 64bit on an Asus H170-Pro (C230/100-series) (Skylake Intel).

@Bugger Vance :
Maybe you are currently running a newer or WHQL certified AHCI driver.
Nevertheless you will be able to get the v16.0.1.1008 driver manually installed, if you force the installation by using the “Let me pick…” > “Have Disk” option.

unfortunately it’s still not working. I’m getting the message: “Im angegebenen Ordner befindet sich kein kompatibler Softwaretreiber für das Gerät”.
I compared the files with the ones of the latest v15 driver. The v16 driver is missing iaStorF.sys file.

This means, that it only will work with Win8/8.1/10.
Which OS are you running and which DeviceID has your on-board Intel SATA AHCI Controller?

OS: Windows 7 64bit
DeviceID: DEV_A102 (100-Series / C230)

Ok, this explains everything.
Thanks for your report and interesting find, that the Intel RST v16 platform drivers natively do not support Windows 7 (and even older Windows Operating Systems).
Due to your test result I have now corrected the related compatibility descriptions within the start post and >this< post.

strange! v16 beta worked

No wonder, because the v16.0.0.1055 Beta has the SCSI Filter driver iaStorF.sys included and the related INF files have an NTamd64.6.1 entry.
