Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) Version 16.5.4.1032 WHQL

  • new: Intel RST Drivers & Software Set v16.5.4.1032 WHQL for Win8-10 dated 07/24/2018

Only Intel chipsets from 100-Series up and X299 are natively supported by these drivers. Thanks to Station-Drivers resp. Pacman for the source package.

Dieter (alias Fernando)

Little Hint:
ASRock Z270 Taichi, RST EFI/OROM modded to 16.7
Works flawless with 16.5.4 drivers,
but integrating/installing 16.7.0 drivers leads to reboot-loop (repairing windows).
Maybe because of missing WHQL-Stamp.

Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) Version 16.7.0.1009 WHQL

Update of the start post
Changelog:

  • new: 64bit Intel RST AHCI & RAID driver v16.7.0.1009 WHQL dated 07/06/2018
  • new: Intel RST Drivers & Software Set v16.7.0.1009 WHQL dated 07/30/2018

The 64bit driver is now WHQL certified, the 32bit driver still just digitally signed by Intel. Both are usable with Win8/8.1 and Win10. Only the latest Intel Chipsets from 100-Series up (incl. X299) are natively supported by these drivers.
Thanks to Pacman resp. Station-Drivers for the source package.

Enjoy it!

@Pacman Do you have RSTCLI for RST Driver version 15.2.16.1060? Also would Intel ‘SRT’ (Smart Response Technology) work with these drivers for a PCI-E SSD?

@rootuser123

No, unfortunately I don’t have for this version, and as I don’t use a PCIe-SSD nor Intel SRT, i am sorry to say, i don’t know.

Hi to all.

Ehmm, I don’t remember anymore how to install this package

I’m an AHCI user only (cpu i5-8500, intel chipset 360 and only one sata ssd drive, win10 education N x64 updated) and I downloaded the right package (i guess) for me: “64bit Intel RST AHCI & RAID driver v16.5.4.1032 WHQL.rar” ('cause I don’t need any IRST Software): now, right click on iaAHCIC.inf (and then “Install”) only or also on all the others (iaStorAC.inf, iaStorSW.inf, iaStorSwExt.inf)?

Many thanks

@deikun :
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!

The first option is the correct one. The file named iaAHCIC.inf contains all needed instructions to get the related Intel AHCI driver properly installed.
All other *.inf files are useless for you, because your Intel SATA Controller is running in AHCI mode and you don’t want to install any Intel RST Software.

Hello, i faced RST driver BUG - when i put my PC in to sleep state, it is spin up HDDs, after it powering off them again and going to sleep. When i use default win7x64 driver "ahci 1.0 serial ATA" PC go to sleep without spinning up my HDDs, but performance is quite lesser then RST one. Are there any tweak (may be regedit) that can provide going to sleep without spinning up HDDs??
I use hp z420 motherboard with Intel® C602 Chipset, and win7x64.
I will be grateful for any help.

@OmTatSat16 :
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!

I don’t know any registry tweak, which will solve your specific problem.
To be able to help you nevertheless, I need the following information:
1. Which are the HardwareIDs of your in-use Intel SATA AHCI Controller?
2. Which Intel RST driver version did you install?

Regards
Dieter (alias Fernando)

Thank you for your reply)
1. PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D02&SUBSYS_1589103C&REV_05 i have when i use "ahci 1.0 serial ATA" driver, checked with RST 10.1.0.1008 also have same hardwareid
2. i tried:
10.1.0.1008
11.7.4.1001
12.8.20.1002
13.1.0.1058
also some RSTe versions, there was same problem but plus HDDs not go to sleep during PC work at all

@OmTatSat16 :
I doubt, that your issue is Intel RST driver related.
