Yes you can take the Engine region from the latest ASUS SPI/BIOS update by extracting it via UEFITool and use that at FPT. You don’t need to follow the CleanUp Guide in that case. But the main issue you have is read/write access to the Engine region firmware. It is possible that you have Read but not Write access to the Engine region and that’s why you can dump but not re-flash the Main/1st SPI chip. I suggest you extract the Engine region of the latest ASUS SPI/BIOS via UEFITool and store it. Then, while at the Main/1st SPI chip, do the setup_var trick and try to flash the extracted Engine region back via “fptw -me -f asus_me_region.bin”. If successful, remember to do a “fptw -greset” and everything should be ok after the reboot. Remember that the setup_var trick usually works for 1 boot only so any reboot will require it again (that is, if it works at all on your motherboard’s BIOS).
