There isn’t any newer bios than the current one.

News for microcode something?

Nothing. If there were any news they would be promptly posted here (like anywhere else).

3 posts was unnecessary.

Agreed, 3 posts are too many. Should be banned.

I’m very busy mate in this period. I’m sorry I can’t help anyone anymore. :frowning:

Okay sylar76 thank you for support!!!

Here is my updated version. Used @Sylar76 's last BIOS as a base, UBU to update the CPU microcodes, and UEFIPatch to unlock the MSR 0xE2 register for Hackintosh purposes (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-t…d-guide.227001/). Nothing else was changed. Not an expert by any means, so use at your own risk. Seems to be running fine for me, though. Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1gfbv6lu3150aj…_MODDED.7z?dl=0

Hi guys

I wanted to ask, if someone of you were able to mod the R5E Bios to allow pcie bifurcation? I bought the Asus hyper M2 card to run 4 M2 SSDs, but I didnt read the fineprint. I found a tutorial of a guy, that were able to mod his MSI x99 bios to enable bifurcation: [Guide] - How to Bifurcate a PCI-E slot

I opened a Bios file with AMIBCP and I found the PCIe config part, but I dont know which PCIe slot is related to the mentioned ports. I would like to change my 2nd x16 PCIe port from x16 to x4/x4/x4/x4. According to Intel Tech-sheet my 5960X should support bifurcation.

Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge about bios modding can help me here.

Thanks

@Agent-orange - it’s already set to x4x4 for one of your slots, maybe the second or first, but only the two below that can be changed to x4x4x4x4. You’ll have to play around with several BIOS mods until you find the right setting
Also, once you find right slot (IIO number) note that inside each is SSD related settings cache etc for each port that can be adjusted later if needed.
Maybe this new app will show you what port is used by each of your slots, with something plugged into them of course, move it around and check again what is assigned each time for each slot.

Hello is there a bios for the 3801 for the R5E non 10 edition.

I have a i7 5960X Processor.
And I use M.2 Ssd 960 evo. And a 860 evo

Not sure if you need my other specs.
I do not know a thing where it comes to updating a bios with all the mods and such… Been stuck on 3401 for the past two years.

Which one would be better than the one I have and which 3A 3B 3C nonsense?

@DrewBear - Non-10 edition? Set whatever you want in BIOS, you do not have to use Windows 10 to use any BIOS.

What is 3A, 3B, 3C nonsense?

I mean the cpu microcode
3A 3B 3C 3D think 3E.

And the Rampage V Extreme non 10 edition Meaning by the one that first came out not with RGB effects.

Sorted tho, messaged Sylar76 set me with a 3902 mod!

Thank you Sylar76
