[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-AX370-Aorus Gaming 5 BIOS mod

Get yourself a corsair rgb controller theyre pretty cheap, come with 4 fully programmable strips and connect to 6 fans too, lighting node pro kit.

yes of course i can do that but the gaming k7 that i have has a lot of rgb leds already and it would be a waste to just not use them. the only thing that lights up in my case at the moment is my corsair vengeance rgb which is controlled via aura sync because gigabyteā€™s software sucks and canā€™t change the colors of the ram and its on the supported listā€¦

Corsairs own software controls rgb ram lighting, theres also a demo test point on that motherboard thats powered from 5v

you can use iCue or Link for rgb ram, strips and fans

the leds themselves are pretty poor on aorus boards though, and as you say its software is meh.

i use these with the lighting node pro and 4 individually adressible led strips, theyre excellent

corsair icue software is out now, it even has game profiles, basically you can set the ase fans/strips/ram to any colour on launching a game or other program.

icue works with all rgb corsair keyboards, ram, strips and fans, its bloomin awesome.

I am glad I found you @ket , otherwise I would be clueless about what to do with my gaming 5.

I decided I will wait for Zen2 to upgrade my system, CPU and Motherboard, letā€™s just hope gaming 5 doesnā€™t die on me sooner.
Next time I will go Taichi all the way. Seems to be amazing boards, although they are very easy to go out of stock.

Boards that go out of stock quick are the best sellers, both x370 and x470 taichi boards are monster performers

this is what i got on the r7 2700x in the x370 taichi

Wise choice, Dont even hesitate to get the taichi x470 and a 2700x, you will have a machine that will last years, but ill tell you if you use the stock cooler DONT use the stock thermal paste if you want to go past 3.7GHz, i 100% recommend this stuff: its shaved a massive 10c off my load temps:

Saying the GB boards have better memory compatibility alone shows just how little reviewers actually know. They make blanket statements based on extremely limited testing time that many people stupidly take as gospel. Take it from somebody who has actually tested thoroughly boards from Asrock, Asus, MSI, Biostar and Gigabyte, memory compatibilty in order from best to worst is; Asrock > Asus (Asus might be 1st, its a tight one here) > Biostar > Gigabyte > MSI. At first glance the GB boards might seem to have good memory compatibility but that is really not the case. I place GB almost last here because with my test kit of Samsung B-Die RipjawsV the system absolutely refuses to POST with the 2400MHz memory divider when XMP is enabled while literally every other board works perfectly from lowest to highest (highest being the XMP rated speed - 3200MHz) memory divider. MSI I place last as memory overclocking on the Titanium was a chore and a nightmare when I tested it. I know the latest firmware for MSI boards improves memory compatibility so MSI might have overtaken GB here as well. Easiest out of the box memory overclocking came with the X370-F up and running at 3466MHz with nothing more than a divider change the other boards can only muster 3333MHz before you have a fight on your hands.

I agreeā€¦ The GB X470 boards are just supped up X370 boards in the most partā€¦ They added Wi-Fi and "IN MY HONEST OPINION" GB is emulating ASUSā€™s methodologyā€¦ GB moved things around on the board layoutā€¦ Not much else as far as COMPATIBILITY OR RAM PERFORMANCE REALLY WAS IMPROVED IN GENERAL UNLESS YOUR STRICTLY RUNNING A RYZEN 7 2700X I GATHERā€¦ Still too early to jump to the conclusion hat GB X470 are TOP OF THE LINE just yetā€¦ They said the very same things not about the X370 lineup & they fell way short from the actual resultsā€¦ I can get my Flare-X 3200 C14 up to 3466 MHz as @ket stated, by just selecting EZOC Mode to DDR4-3466ā€¦ EVERYTHING ELSE ON AUTO & IN MY CASE I ONLY HAVE TO SET DRAM VOLTAGE TO 1.400V IF I MANUALLY SET TIMINGS AS PER RYZEN DRAM CALCULATOR RECOMMENDED VALUES ~14-14-14-22-36-1T FOR EXAMPLEā€¦ IF I LEAVE TIMINGS ON AUTO FOR EZOC DRAM-3466 + XMP DISABLED I RUN JUST AS WELL WITH LOOSE TIMINGS ~16-16-16-39-55-1T @ 1.35 C14 STOCK TIMINGS AS WELL WITHOUT ISSUES SO FAR SINCE I CLEAN INSTALLED WIN 10 SUā€¦

And gigabyte STILL havent moved the m.2 away from under the gpu slot, no ones gonna watercool any gpu with a board like that

Modded F23f is now live for the Gaming K7. Like the Gaming 5 Iā€™ve made slight changes to Fast Boot, let me know if any corresponding options that showed up in earler modded firmwares no longer show. There will be no modded F23f for the K5 as that model does not have an F23f firmware.

Hi Ket,
IĀ“m having a issue booting the system and always have to be defined the primary boot device or a fail is returned finding it. Do u recomended reflash the BIOS or is it a detected problem with the last one BIOS (23f on a G5)?

All the other system is really nice, memories up to 3200 Mhz, OC at 3,9 Ghz with 1.375 V with 30Āŗ iddle.

Best regards.

If Iā€™m understanding you correctly you are asking is there any way to have the primary boot drive always be detected as the boot drive after loading defaults, correct? If so the answer is no its typical behaviour of the AM4 platform until AMD add some sort of fix after flashing and loading defaults youā€™ll just have to manually set your boot drive to the first boot device again.

Does the driver package from page one still apply for GA-AB350 Gaming 3 ? Obviously the Intel/Killer Control Panel and X370 Chipset drivers dont. but maybe the USB 3.1 drivers and Realtek HD Audio? Are the realtek HD Audio driver equivalent to these: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloaā€¦&GetDown=false?

Also is it normal that with the B350 Gaming F22bM-D it doesnā€™t read the temperature correctly with a Ryzen 2600X? It pretty much shows 0Ā° inside the BIOS C all the time. Obviously the temp readings are just as weird inside Win10.

Hi,

I found new drivers for Realtek > https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.comā€¦px?q=6.0.1.8447

Hello

BTW @ket have you seen the modded bios that were released from 1usmus on http://www.overclock.net/forum/11-amd-moā€¦-correctly.html

Changes:

- unlocked Precision Boost Overdrive Scalar (feature of 470th motherboards for zen +)
- SOC OVERCLOCK VID (feature of 470th motherboards for zen +)
- unlocked AMD_CBS + sub menu
- unlocked additional DRAM parameters
- unlocked VDDP voltage
- disabled HPET & Spread Spectrum
- BCLK frequency stabilization
- improving the overclocking potential DRAM
- unlocked modes NX, PSS, CPB, C6 and others
- unlocked another sweet-features
- unlocked AMD_PBS on MSI boards

Wow all this stuff is already stock on the taichi x470

But were talking about GB that even didnt pushed updates from AMD against the spectre bug nr1 and there are more
At this pace GB will have them for "beta-release" somewhere in 3th part of 2019

I have, Iā€™m trying to keep what I do as feature rich as possible while not exposing or bringing forward options from AMDs blob of code that wonā€™t be of any real benefit and also making sure there are no duplicate entries. I like to keep everything neat and tidy thats why a lot of options I renamed for clarity and so the item descriptions fit in to popup dialogs properly and added much better descriptions for a lot of options. All of this means that development is slower and pretty much means I do things when I have the time and will as GBs firmware is a complete mess. Iā€™m also trying to avoid fixing every single thing with GBs firmware as that just provides them with an excuse to not do the work themselves.

Hi can you make mod bios for Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 3?

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-ā€¦support-dl-bios

nice, they work fine on the GA-AB350 Gaming 3

Iā€™ll check the driver. All 8447 packages Iā€™ve seen so far are extremely incomplete but that package looks like it might be a complete one.
