[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-AX370-Aorus Gaming 5 BIOS mod

someone know what the "spread spectrum" is for ? and what is the good option : enable or disable ?
thanks

Press the "Alt" key with the item selectedā€¦ I added descriptions nad/or much better explanations for a lot of options.

ok. thanks

@ket well I am hoping you can help me if you have the timeā€¦I recently had to replace my C6H motherboard and I knowā€¦I made a mistake and got the gigabyte x470 aorus gaming 7 wifiā€¦but no use crying over spilled milk. I have been working on the bios, with what little info is available. I am pretty satisfied with where I gotten the bios to, however I have few things that are just irking me with the bios that perhaps you might help me with.

1. Enabling the PBO options and scaler options I found that the F4e beta bios had these options exposed per a giga japan tweek back in may, however even using that does not show the options so I am not sure what gives.

2. EDC Relaxed Throttling option.

3. Exposing the memory fail_cnt as in the bios versus manually editing in the bios like I have.

Here is the latest modded version I am working with off the F4 official

So I havenā€™t found what causes/a way to reproduce the issue constantly, but it seems with a modified VCore the K7 tends to be a bit murderous by shoving ~1.52V into my 1700x.

Havenā€™t tried the official F23 build either, so it could be an issue for all. Tried to go around with changing LLC and such, but it seems to be random on boot, and unrelated to that sort of thing. Havenā€™t seen it happen yet by using voltage offset.

Just thought Iā€™d make people aware of it, just in case, to check their readings, and Iā€™ll try to investigate further.

Hello, im new to the forum and i need some advice.

I have the 2600x along with the 370 k7. Q-flashed the modded f23 bios from ket. Have official f23 as backup too.
Iā€™ve noticed in Ryzen Master that my cpu reaches the EDC limit almost too fast, and my all core boost is just 3975 while running Cinebench.
My temps are below 80c. I see no option under NBIO to change EDC limit. Only the temp and Wattage limit are there to change.
What can i do? Shall i flash the old f22 bios; Some1 here said it has all options enabled by mistakeā€¦

Thanks!

the x470 gaming7 wifi is no mistake, and you have no need to cry - its currently one of the best ryzen boards even beating a lot of asus top end offerings, also runs the coolest and has a proper finned heatsink array not just a useless slab of metal and the only board with an actual removable bios chip with 6 zone rgb - Ive had absolutely zero issues with my gaming7 wifi board unlike my other x370 gigabyte piece of shit, in fact damn its a really good board!

relaxed EDC Throttling is already enabled and working there is not a setting to disable it, me hitting over 230Gflops in intel burn test proves this.

ram fail count however needs to be added only if you piss about with memory timings a lot (which i dont) these i set and forget.

the scaler options were removed from f4 bios, its a waste of time messing with them anyway if you are heavily into overclocking. the scaler auto option is perfectly adequate, lowering the vcore voltage slightly from stock boosts things, waste of time because the 2700x benefits the most out of all they ryzens with memory overclocking so thats why its vanished, this was rectified in the latest agesa code

Iā€™m taking notes to look at things in future guys but there is a board in much more dire need of my attention at this point in time so Iā€™m preoccupied with that. I will look at the firmware for the gaming boards and see if there is anything worthwhile I can do in some updated releases. Oh, and B350 owners, youā€™ll see some love too seems unfair to leave you out as F23 seems to be pretty decent. Took GB long enough though.

Updated modified X370 Gaming K3 firmware to F23M-D. Consider it a one-off.

@ket
Hello, awesome work! Would be possible a modded bios for the GA-AX370-Gaming-3 missing some voltage options and has a very limited offset voltage, Itā€™s a pain in the ass to have to start Ryzen Master to OC my cpu, didnā€™t win the silicon lottery :(.

@0sk4r in theory you can extract the custom GB setup module and replace it with one from the Gaming 5 however there would likely be a lot of work to do to make it compatible. You could also try taking specific parts you want and modifying the existing custom setup module but that has problems of its own and likely wonā€™t work. I couldnā€™t say more without looking at the setup module, either way you go though it is going to be difficult the best starting point would be to extract the custom setup module, convert it with IFR, and hope the options you want are just just being hidden with suppress constraints.

Thatā€™s completely normal, and it will only happen for a split second, my 2700x does the same.

My apologies if this has already been answered but 61 pages is a lot to read and no search function available on mobile version.

Is there a mod or a way to unlock all rgb zones on the X370 Gaming 5 motherboard?

For some reason the color is stuck pulsing green and will not change in rgb fusion nor the bios. No recent bios changes have been made.

Thank you in advance.

Did you try clearing CMOS and re-flashing or loading optimized defaults again to see if that will help?

with my "X370 Gaming 5" (Ryzen 2600X + F4-3200C14D-16GVK) i get debug code "D5" before the next boot fails

so far only had happens when i shutdown - with better RAM resistance it works better

Hi and first off, great to see the enthusiast work hereā€¦ 61 pages of modded bios comments reminds me of my old days, hah!

I replced my 7-year old rig and bought the B450 Aorus M motherboard because I think itā€™s the best design of any uATX mobo on the market now (and it even has low price). There are two things holding it back though; its limited bios and VRM cooling. I fixed the VRM cooling itself by adding small heatsinks and with some airflow they run very cool.
If was hoping you might have a chance to upgrade the bios for this board? Just enablng the hidden options would be a major relief I think. Alternatively, if you can give me some pointers on how I can do that myself that would also be great!
The official bios for the board here https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-M-rev-10

Forgive me if someone looked into it already, I just scrolled through the last 10 pages or so and didnā€™t find any here, nor in other posts or the Gigabyte forums.

hey - i just want to inform you that in some weird cases the bios F23M-D for Gaming 5 doesnt save the set RAM timings
like it uses 1 or 3 for a value that is 0 or "-"

AND do we have "boot dram-voltage" option?
so i could boot my 3466CL14 with 1.45V and run it than with 1.4V?

your "AB350N Gaming F23d-M" - is still AGESA 1.0.0.2
and i miss CLDO_VDDP settings! there

btw the AB350N Gaming WiFi is a nice ITX-Board

oh i also found that when i enable "Fan Warning" my PC speaker "warns" me when my pc is shutdown!

Well, itā€™s being true, CPU Fan Fail Warning should alert any time CPU fail fails, such as when powered down
