[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-AX370-Aorus Gaming 5 BIOS mod

THATS EXACTLY IT! TY

Im confused, decided to look up some tutorials on this mather, and to my surprise under AMIBCP version 5.02 with loaded F22 gaming k5 bios, it has loadline calibration strings attached, Token 0x0265 to 0x026C, every option listed there, "Extreme, Medium, Low, Standard " wtf Gigabite meā€¦

@Ket can you hint me how to find the right module to replace? iā€™m trying to figure out which one is the right one to replace, the advanced voltages one or the setup one? if i replace the setup one with the one from the gaming 5 will my shit blow up? gaming k5 still has 2 bios, soo im not very worried about bricking one since it will reflash from the backup

Anyway thanks

@Jman most likely the module you need to replace is the one at GUID 899407D7-99FE-43D8-9A21-79EC328CAC21 however it is unlikely it will be a simple replace further steps will be required.

Anyway Iā€™ve just spent ā‚¬10 for a CH341A programmer + ā€œpomonaā€ adapter and Iā€™ve a K5 boardā€¦ and Iā€™ll try to learn how to flash SOIC.

If itā€™s already there in your BIOS @Jman shown in AMIBCP no module swapping is needed, you only need to enable the setting either by modifying the setup module or with AMIBCP directly (Set to User) Root level of the area containing this setting must already be enabled, otherwise other edits are needed

Im soo mad im not smart enough to do this xD Ty all for the hints

@Jman - you can do it easy if itā€™s in AMIBCP, well as long as itā€™s not in ā€œChipsetā€ section itā€™s easy usually, sometimes you might need an outside of AMIBCP edit to unhide something, but not usually if the root of the section that contains the setting you want is already visible to you.
If you are still unsure, link the BIOS in question and tell me the setting you want enabled, so I donā€™t have to look back to find it. And tell me if the section itā€™s in in AMIBCP is visible to you already in the BIOS, such as ā€œItā€™s in Advanced >> CPU, or Advanced >>> Thermal Config etcā€

@Lost_N_Bios i think Maybe i explained myself poorly . Itā€™s not showing under M.I.T. - Advanced Voltage. Only found the string of text with all the options.if it were under M.I.T. I believe it would only require us to tick the checkbox as Show. But thatā€™s not the case. Although Iā€™ve tried to extract the module from setup from the g5 and replaced the gk5 setup module with that the bios becomes unreadable even on AMIBCP. hopefully someone else will take a look at that sooner or later. Clearly the board can do it but thereā€™s the settings missing. Thanks for the help anyway

You may need to set ā€œUserā€ in AMIBCP, do you mean itā€™s not visible at all in AMIBCP? If not visible in AMIBCP, then yes itā€™s involved (Very) to get it showing, but it can be done
I just checked AX370 Gaming 5 F23i BIOS, and I see it in AMIBCP @ M.I.T. - Advanced Voltage, this can easily be enabled, set access/use to USER for Vcore LLC and Vcore SOC and youā€™ll be ready to LLC all day long.

@Lost_N_BIOS - You should try to look at gaming k5, thatā€™s the one missing the settings. The base idea was copying it from gaming 5 to gaming k5 since allegedly it uses the same voltage regulator. Iā€™ll start working soon " like in 20min. Soo Iā€™ll check back as soon as possible

Sorry, thatā€™s why I asked you to link the BIOS Yes, this very involved method would be needed to add those - https://forums.overclockers.ru/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=599984

Darn, thatā€™s a shame. Hopefully Ket will be able to do it. Itā€™s a shame cause the board ainā€™t that bad but Iā€™m limited on oc cause of VDrop

He may be able to via module swapping, or the method above, and if heā€™s incentivized enough to get on it. Do you have flash programmer @Jman

@Lost_N_BIOS hello. I do have a bios flasher . Never used it tho.

Get it out, and get to the point where you have verified (Chip and buffer match) backup, then make sure itā€™s a verified BIOS by opening in BIOS tools or hex and make sure itā€™s not all FFā€™s or 00ā€™s.
If it looks good, then you would be ready to test a setup module swap, it will probably fail though, but at least you could test and see what happens.

Iā€™m doing that as we speak. First Iā€™ll test it on an old gpu to test cause Iā€™m not really sure what Iā€™m doing

old GPU? What does that have to do with anything?

Only to test the flasher. Cause never used it. Easier to test if it works on old gpu than the mb

Ohh, those BIOS roms are soooooo small! Just use it on your board, carefully.
Easier to test on board, and be done when youā€™re done, than have to do it all over again on the board.
Since youā€™d have to find which software version works for each item, sounds like twice the work for nothing to me

Only reads 0000000000ā€™s out of itā€¦
