PS: delete previous post
Thanks for the info and the link.
EDIT: Meanwhile I am offering this newest Realtek LAN ROM module within the start post of this thread.
Done (incl. my reply)!
@Fernando
Slightly OT
I have a intel i210-T1 adapter, server version of LOM .
When I bought it, efi boot was not supported by default, used intel boot agent to flash to efi.
Version 6.2.xx and also removed PXE boot.
Saw newer version here of efi 6.8.xx
Problem is, when running boot agent with same command bootutil -nic=1 -update=efi results in a error efi is not a valid image type for port 1.
I have to update using combo but then it flashes iSCSI CLP and PXE. I do not need/want these to be enabled.
Not sure why its not working anymore, just keeps spitting out that same error.
Any way to extract the bootimg.FLB that includes all the firmware for each device? Device id is 1533 but I cant extract that using -di
Thanks!
@ PhatAgent:
I am sorry, but I cannot help you, because I am not an expert regarding your special problem.
You may enhance your chances to get support by one of our BIOS modding Gurus by starting a new thread with a meaningful title.

Thanks for the link to the new Realtek LAN ROM v2.63.
@ all:
Meanwhile the download links to the newest Realtek LAN ROM v2.63 module have been added to the start post of this thread.
What is the advantage of updating lan module, AHCI / RAID module, etc?
It depends on your system. An update of the Option ROM modules may enhance the performance and shorten the boot time.
An update of an Option ROM module only makes sense for systems, which really uses this BIOS module.
Example: The Intel RAID ROM module will never be loaded by a system, which is permanently running in AHCI or IDE mode.

Hello Fernando,
I’ve found a maybe new OROM-in-FFS VBIOS Trinity - 015.035.000.000.000000 in the UEFI-BIOS v3.90 of the FMA88X Extreme6+.
The UBU-Tool v1.44 has overwritten it with the version 015.031… - it seems not to recognize a new module …?!?..
So that’s why I want to told you this. You could extract it, if you are interested in …
I don’t know (at the moment), which one ist the right EFI-module.
Have a nice time & new year or feliz año nuevo !!
P.S.
Sorry for wrong thread!
@ MiesMosel:
Thanks for your find and report.
I have moved the post into this better matching thread.
Hey Everyone,
I just flashed the new VBIOS onto my Alienware m18xr1 (v2170) and it kind of worked. The system will boot up, but the screen is black. I can’t access the BIOS, because the screen just stays black. Been searching for a fix, but haven’t found one yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do I have to go to a lower version? If so, I have not been able to find any older vbios’s available as a ROM. Can anyone help>?
Thanks,
Swick
Questions:
1. Where did you get the VBIOS module v2170?
2. Have you checked, whether the module is compatile with the DeviceID of your on-board Intel Graphics adapter?
Did you choose the Mobile vbios? Did you first edit it with Intel BMP tool according to SoniX’s instructions? Did you replace it properly afterwards? The latest is 2171 as found at SoniX’s repository, check his threads.
I have a pci exprees realtek lan card.
How can i update it?
By using the related Firmware Update tool, which is offered by Realtek for the specific Ethernet Controller.
The Option ROM modules, which are offered within the start post of this thread, are only designed for on-board Controllers.
Hi guys, hope somebody can help me with the problem of my Motherboard. I have a Intel i3-2100 and ECS H67H2-M3 Motherboard. Problem started when I update my BIOS, I just follow the procedure stated on ECS website. First update failed, second time was a success but there is a problem. I CMOS setting is wrong always shows up, already replaced CMOS battery with new one. My gt-730 video card can no longer detected by my Motherboard.
Will flashing a bios can solved my problem?
What tools and files needed?
Thanks in advance…
@sgadrej :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
This seems to be a specific mainboard BIOS problem, which should be solved by the Company, which has built and delivered it.
My suggestion is to contact the ECS Support.
Good luck!
