@ Lost_N_BIOS
Thanks for the info and thanks again for all the help!
Hi @Lost_N_BIOS , can you please provide some assistance with unlocking my bios?
I have a GK5CQ7Z with 2070mq with the N.1.51 bios that I got from my local retailer. I have dumped the bios file without errors using the FPTW tool which you can find over here : https://www.mediafire.com/file/utxpwrbedā¦iosreg.bin/file
Here is a picture of my advanced bios settings : https://uploadfiles.io/0v6sghxz
Let me know if you need anything else, thanks!
@Stratos - What is the brand of that system, full brand, model name etc. And, do you have the stock BIOS/EC FW package with the BIOS install tool etc?
Can you write back BIOS region with FPTw without error? If you did not add it already, please add one image in there that shows your choices on "Lighting Effects" in the Advanced page, so I can see which set of those options you have
This is the exact model. Unfortunately I do not have the original bios files/tools.
Here is a cmd screenshot of using the -d/-f commands of FPTw :
and here is a bios picture showing the available lighting effects: https://uploadfiles.io/0v6sghxz
@Stratos - So, itās āWootBook Ultra 2070 GK5CQ7Zā?
I guess your only option is to bug them via email if you want BIOS update, or flash in one of the other models (Like EVOO or XMG etc) that match >> 2070 + GK5CQ7Z << If you ever do that, make sure you update EC and BIOS at same time
Here is your mod BIOS, flash via >> FPTw.exe -bios -f biosregm.bin

*** WARNING *** - This BIOS is user specific! If you are not user Stratos at Win-RAID.com forum, DO NOT USE THIS BIOS!!
If you do, and you are not Stratos, then you will loose your serial, UUID, OG NVRAM, and possibly LAN MAC ID as well.
You have been warned!!!
If you need unlocked BIOS, please make a request and provide your BIOS region dumped by FPT
@Lost_N_BIOS is there any chance you would unlock my XMG NEO M19 with the RTX2070 running N.1.5.4 please?

Hello there!
My model is GK5CP6Z, and the .sct file for this model is not found in your article
So I got stuck at step 9 ā¦
I uploaded my .bin to you, hope you can help me when you have time!
Thank you! I would like to turn off the hyper-threading function, because this model is too thin and the heat dissipation is too bad!

@dapbenjamin - Sorry, I only noticed now, you didnāt provide me your FPT BIOS region dump. Please do as below
Check BIOS main page and see if ME FW version is shown, if not then download HWINFO64
Then on the large window on left side, expand motherboard and find ME area, inside that get the ME Firmware version.
Once you have that, go to this thread and in the section āC.2ā download the matching ME System Tools Package
(ie if ME FW version = 10.x get V10 package, if 9.0-9.1 get V9.1 package, if 9.5 or above get V9.5 package etc)
Intel Management Engine: Drivers, Firmware & System Tools
Once downloaded, inside you will find Flash Programming Tool folder, and inside that a Windows or Win/Win32 folder.
Select that Win folder, hold shift and press right click, choose open command window here (Not power shell).
At the command prompt type the following command and send me the created file to modify >> FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin
Right after you do that, try to write back the BIOS Region dump and see if you get any error >> FPTw.exe -bios -f biosreg.bin
If you do get error, show me image of the command entered and the error given
^^ This is important step, donāt forget ^^
If you are stuck on Win10 and cannot easily get command prompt, and method I mentioned above does not work for you, here is some links that should help
Or, copy all contents from the Flash Programming Tool \ DOS folder to the root of a USB Bootable disk and do the dump from DOS (FPT.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin)

Or here is simply registry edit that adds āOpen command window here as Administratorā to the right click menu
Double-click to install, reboot after install may be required

@yaodao0yaodao - what is the full brand and model name. Also, if you have the full stock BIOS package with BIOS, flash tools, EC FW etc, please upload for me, thanks (I donāt need, just like to have when possible, in case someone needs)
Mine is MECHREVO Z2-G gk5cp6z
MECHREVO does not give bios download link
Is there a way to extract bios from my laptop?
@yaodao0yaodao - Thanks. If you bug them enough in email they will send you package
Hang tight, I will do your edit right now !Oh! Almost forgot, please either show me image of what Light Effect options you have at Advanced, or tell me which is first and last option
Ok, i try both through customer service and email
Itās no big deal, if they wont give you copy, itās OK. As a paying customer Iād raise heck though, but thatās just me, especially if I paid more than few hundred dollars
Iām sure the BIOS package is probably floating around the web, if not now, sometime soon it will be. Usually only time I need is if someone is on older BIOS and wants to use mod files I have (or ones Iāve added to guide), then they need to update to that BIOS/EC First, otherwise I have to edit their BIOS as-is directly
Here is your mod BIOS, flash via >> FPTw.exe -bios -f biosregm.bin

haha, thank you
@yaodao0yaodao - Youāre welcome, let me know how it goes! Also, let me know if you can indeed see two Light Effect options in Advanced now, thanks
Iām outside now, try to update when I go back
--------------------
Not only two lighting effects, but also two columns of duplicate menus
Thanks! That is by design, sorry I didnāt include change log, they are not duplicate menus
Change log >> Main x2, Adv x2, chipset, boot x2, security as-is, switch exit pages (Hide OG) + Add second Light Effect + several other hidden settings in original advanced + 1 in OG boot menu
You loose some settings if I hide the original Main, Advanced, and boot, so best way to do it is to leave those and add the new with #2 to the name.
Only set one of those light effects at a time. Both options work right, I mean if you choose only one from either, it works, correct? No oneās mentioned it to me if they do not not yet.
Yes everything is fine now
@Lost_N_BIOS Sorry for the delay here is the file requested. I could write that file without any issues. I attached it to the original post as well.
Thanks for doing this.
