A tool for modding a BIOS for CoffeeLake? Thats really great, weeks of work simply done with a tool? I will try to have a look on this.

Thanks to @shixinyuan for sharing a G20CB Version. I will check this out.

Gen Cpu on a G20CB. Thats nice. Could be another tuning for my modded G20AJ… Two more cores. Are they all working fine? Did someone some benchmarks?

I’ve added Kaby/Coffee Lake support.
And for U0/P0 CPUs you need connect SKTOCC to GND.

Also, out of curious, did your MODs have any fan issues? if not, which hardware version of G20CB MB are u using? I’ve heard the fan issue only occurs with some version of MB.

It was based on official BIOS, it will never have fan problem.

Seems there is some misunderstanding, my question was which hardware revision is your G20CB board? Like mine is rev. 1.06. Thanks!

The official BIOS do not distinguish hardware revisions. I do not have G20CB.
BIOS was not tested. If you want a working BIOS, I can not provide.

My board rev. is 1.06 and discovered no fan issues.

Hello! im getting my i7-7700 tomorrow.
Can i just flash @shixinyuan BIOS or is there any link to an English one? @reactive
I have never flashed a modded BIOS before.

Edit: just found @dsanke post. Is it ready to flash like an original or do i have to modify it first?

@Simarro : I can´t give you more information as I wrote in one of my posts. Due to a silly mistake, I lost all my data, but the G20CB is running.

Here is the new BIOS image that is working: G20CI-to-G20CB-1402-BIOS-VBIOS1058-GOP1080-NCT-WiFi-uCode-clean.bin

What you have to do before flashing:
1. If not already done, read out your original G20CB BIOS with a flash programmer. Read it twice and compare it together, to be sure, that no errors happend. Store it at some secure place
2. Extract the GbE (for MAC address), FD44 region (Board serial number and ID) and the first padding (Windows License Key beginning with ASUSBKP) with UEFItool from your original BIOS, or use another method to extract your GbE MAC, Board serial number, and other IDs.
3. If you extracted these files, simply replace the regions of my BIOS image
4. Check it with FD44 editor
5. Flash it to your Flash
6. start your PC, enter BIOS and load optimized defaults.
7. Disable the powersaving option for the ASM USB3.1 controller in Windows Device Manager

Known issues:
1. OnBoard HDMI will not work (G20CI does not have onboard HDMI)
2. LEDs will not work (the LED controllers have another I²C Address and support not all new commands that G20CI have when using AEGIS3)

What has changed:
1. Complete BIOS region from G20CB replaced by G20CI (UEFITool)
2. ME updated to 11.8. with settings from G20CB (FIT)
3. Microcode insert for Kabylake (MMTool)
4. Replaced the NCT5579DPeiInit against NCT6792DPeiInit from G20CB (MMTool)
5. Disabled all CLKREQ SRC (FIT)
6. set "Detect Timeout" for Rootport7 to 500ms (BCP)
7. set Topology of rootport7 to x1 (BCP)

Nobody has the original BIOS dump from the ASUS G20CB motherboard?
After flashing the official BIOS from the ASUS website, NVME and SATA ports not working
