Hello, I’m trying to mod my IdeaCentre Gaming 5 17ACN7 UEFI because my RAM is running much slower than it is able to.
I downloaded the BIOS from this link. I used UEFITool to open the the rom file and IFRExtractor to parse multiple PE32 files. I found the section of the UEFI related to RAM speed:
I then used setup_var to mod that variable and a few others that may affect the RAM timing.
I verified that the variables were set and persist across reboots, however the RAM speed stays the same. ChatGPT suggests that the Lenovo BIOS may ignore the “AMD CBS”.
Any further help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
