[Problem] Updating Gigabyte Z390 Master Rev1.0 Bios

Hi all so I’m after some help and advice. As some may know I have a Gigabyte Z390 master Rev1.0.

I’ve had issues with gigabyte bios’s, to a stage, where I had to RMA the board due to there mistakes and I had no reprogrammer at the time.

My current bios is F13f GF, this is based on f13a with updated RGB and secure boot.

I have compared with official bios’s from the web site, from the first release to latest f13a

First off I’m Using F.I.T and comparing the current bios I have been given, with other bios older releases.

I have noticed that the Flex I/O setting are not the same, Left image is Older bios, right is of my bios current dump of F13f. yet f13f is the same as the left, its just my bios dump?

I’m thinking should the right pictures should be the same as the left?

will ask one step at a time. thanks for the help and advice in advance.

It’s something like PCIe lane bifurcation.
There are chipset lanes and processor lanes.
Integrated components use them as well.
The problems mostly arise with NVMe drives.
You should have x4 for the NVMe and x16 for the graphics card, provided it supports it.

System wise. Yes my Gpu runs at 3x16 my 3x nvme are 3x4. I have rst in bios disabled.

So what your saying is that the devices have changed the settings in the nvram, and nothing to be concerned of?

Possibly. If everything is working, then that’s good.
