I have a Asus TUF B450M-Plus Gaming motherboard. Recently, it has detected a USB device over current and shutdown in 15 seconds. The BIOS version is 4622. I booted with all USB devices disconnected and it still showed over current status. When I booted with a USB keyboard plugin, the BIOS showed 2 USB keyboards detected. The is no way to boot into BIOS in this situation.
I am thinking if it’s possible to mod the BIOS and turn off all USB devices by default. I can then turn on each USB port in the BIOS and identify the USB port with a bad current sensor.
Thank you all in advance.

You have posted your report into the Forum Category “BIOS Modding/Flashing Tools”.
About which specific tool are you talking?
Plenty of the same issue reported/discussed around the web (mostly starting with AMD900 series up, as Intel 9/100 also), most cases seems due to the MSI ESD protection fuse on each USB port circuit…but not all cases!
Resuming it needs electronic soldering/repair service.
Example shecmatic:
Not any particular tool. I am just exploring whether if it’s possible to mod the Asus AM4 BIOS and turn off all USB ports by default. I can boot using PS2 port.
If I have posted in the wrong section, please help move to the right one. Thanks.
I trying to avoid soldering. These parts are too small and it’s beyond my soldering skill.
