Re-formatt RAID0 & driver installation Questions?

( 1 ) I flashed the firmware on my OCZ 256GB SSD’s & set the trim using the OCZ Toolbox.
( 2 ) I used the cntrl+I & created the RAID0.
( 3 ) I burnt to a CD v12.9.4.1000 from

On ASUS’s website for my motherboard & Windows 7 x64

They have - Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V11.1.0.1006 for Windows XP/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
Intel(R) AHCI/RAID Driver for Windows XP/7 32bit & 64bit. DATED 4/13/2012.
I assumed I got the right RAID driver installed HOWEVER I’m not sure of when & what I need to install next. This may sound cheesey but I got MS & my memory isn’t 1/2 of what it used to be so YES, I need some help! I’m not sure of much of anything other than what I’ve already accomplished & I’m not even sure if that 's right! If I don’t have it right, now is the time to start over! I would GREATLY APPRECIATE your help, Almost all the drivers on the ASUS website are old & I’m not sure about installing as well as the order. Sounds pathetic but it’s the truth! I’ll be right here!

Did I get/burn the correct version v12.9.4.1000?
What drivers do I load DURING the Windows 7 installation SPECIFICALLY at the Windows Partitioning Screen?
@Fernando , sorry if I posted in the wrong area last post, I’m trying!

your mainboard has an Intel chipset…look : you made the topic in Nvidia chipset…
for the driver , use the one from here…it is a dedicated forum for them…

the more important about RAID is the size of clusters : 128 k is very big and good for big files… it is used to share files onto the hd : if you use a lot of files that are below 128ko then you ll have one disk [ the master ] full while the other will be "empty"
then second point is the cluster size you use when you format your hard-drive : first there are size limits that change the cluster size because the number of clusters is limited for example fat 16 stops at 2 Go [ or 4 Go if you use 64ko cluster ]
a cluster being the minimal size of space used on the drive by a file…of 1 ko as well as 63 ko for a cluster of 64 ko

so it can be cool to use a small size for the raid and select the same size for clusters… i mean you have 6 hds of 2 To [ with a physical cluster size of 512 octets or 4 ko [ 4ko being the new normal size …8 ko is coming ] ] then you can do two raid 0 : one with two drives with 4 to 16 ko clusters and a second made with 4 drives and a size of 32 to 128 ko . the first is for windows install while the big one is for games , video , 7z/zip files .

you can do format at win install by pressing f10 and use command format . ntfs "best size" is 4ko for windows install …exFAT is very cool for storage like the second raid of 4 hd

Sorry, I did it again, I posted in the wrong forum area! Sorry grml4d, I’m trying to get thru this! p.s. Sorry Fernando

Meanwhile I have moved this thread into the correct Sub-Forum.

How should I know that?
Which Intel RAID driver do you want to use? How did you integrate the driver into the OS image? Into which *.WIM files did you integrate it (INSTALL.WIM + BOOT.WIM or only 1 of them)?

There is no need to install any driver at that point of the OS installation, provided, that the Setup has detected your RAID array and shows its partitions.
You can install the desired Intel RAID driver after having completed the OS installation as well.
