I know, it’s a old motherboard, but my P8Z68-V PRO left me and I had still working CPU and memory. So I went on eBay to find something a bit better.
You can find the latest bios here.
Would you please update all the possible modules and VGA too?
I saw it’s possible to unlock PCI-E modes and NVME support.
Thanks a lot!
Srry i would upload a copy of my bios but the site says its too large :(, dont know about the pcie and nvme support you are talking about i did update some modules a while ago and havent done anyhting since.
@JollyGreenJoint would you please remember? I gave you a couple of free hosting sites where to upload.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I want to give it another pass with UBU but I don’t know if it’s worth it. I could end up with a unstable bios and brick my board.
Does it worth it?

After so many years, I have lost my skills in modding and being my only PC is too risky doing it again myself.
I kindly ask someone to update the last available bios for this board with UBU+NVME+Dell 2.6 SLIC (I can provide this if needed)+whatever I forgot.
Is possible to add bifurcation to this board? AFAIK it already has a sort of PCI-E routing Nuvoton chip onboard.
This is the present situation:

Not really any updates since last mcodes (2019) or what you report in your previous post.
The BIF you want cant be done on the Z77 as we can achieve in X79, no news here also.
The lane split done on this MB is carried by a PLX8747 as explained here:
For SLIC, there’s several methods that you can look in detail here, along the popular Andy P’s SLIC Tool.
As this board has USB BFB feature, the recovery of a bad mod flash is always possible. Keep a current bios backup for saving SN, MAC, UUID etc… before any operations.
The NVMe mod can be achieved very easy with MMtool and following the forum guide
UBU is currently not maintained anymore, still we can add manually mcodes and new modules, making the tool still useable today. There’s no Repository.
Ill provide an UBU updated 3505 CAP, insert the NVMe
Z77WS_3505_UBU2024.rar (4.2 MB)
Thanks for your kind reply and clarification.
I will try on my own to add NVME boot support, hoping not to make a mess.
P.S: Is there any UBU firmware repository?
I can see that there are some additional firmwares and different versions too. Are they ok for my motherboard?
Thank you!
P.S: I can imagine that to add SLIC I have to extract rom from cap, apply editing and replace body from the rom I created to the cap, right? What method do you suggest from the possible SLIC insertions for ASUS bios?
The UBU cap screen is from the 3505…so its your mb model, not seeing the issue here.
Follow the link to the MDL forum, im not using such boards anymore and not familiarized with all the methods for SLIC insertiton.
