[Request] Drivers for ES HP Omnibook Ultra Flip

Hi there!

Recently, I got sold an ES HP Omnibook Ultra Flip, which when i checked with HWInfo it shows that it is a ES Lunar Lake chip. I can’t reach out to the seller, since I bought this in a flea market and sold as “for parts” since it wouldn’t boot up, but they did not let me know that this was actually an Engineering Sample laptop.

After I let it charge for a few hours, it booted up normally, with a wiped Windows 11 drive.

Here’s the issue:

  • Bluetooth does not work, drivers are broken.
    • Initially when the laptop booted up, it was in test mode and had Bluetooth drivers. I switched it off not knowing this would wreck the drivers
    • After that, it stopped working, even after I put it back on test mode
      • Here is the hardware ID as well, it threw me a code 10 error (The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device.):
        • PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A876&SUBSYS_000E8086&REV_01
        • PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A876&SUBSYS_000E8086
        • PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A876&CC_0D1100
        • PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A876&CC_0D11
  • Audio Drivers does not work:
    • When it first boot, it made this awful crunchy small sound, tried fiddling around before booting into the BIOS to see that the speakers worked fine when i did the diagnostics.

    • After 4 hours switching drivers, the speaker stopped working. Checked the driver list to see that there is a warning symbol (yellow icon) for the Intel Smart Sound OED. With a code 10 error (This device cannot start. (Code 10)

FW did not sent FW Ready notification.).

      • Here are the Hardware IDs for the two:
        • INTELAUDIO\DSP_CTLR_DEV_A828&VEN_8086&DEV_0222&SUBSYS_8CDE103C&REV_0001
        • INTELAUDIO\DSP_CTLR_DEV_A828&VEN_8086&DEV_0222&SUBSYS_8CDE103C
  • What I also know is that the microphone is not on this machine, since even in the BIOS support section it doesn’t work.
  • IR camera does not work as well, even though the device manager doesn’t show anything abnormal.

Also, I need to figure out how can I make a copy of the BIOS file, since I know if I accidentally do something dumb it might be not booting up forever. So any help would be very appreciated.

If you need anything like HWInfo information or anything else, just ask, I’ll try my best to respond.

Thanks a ton in advance.

Dump it with Intel FPT tool or through an SPI IC programmer, do keep in mind that a modern system may have more than one IC, including additional ones for TB, TPM USB-C etc…

Seems like FPT doesn’t support for Lunar Lake for now. Messing around with an SPI IC looks troublesome given that I’m very busy lately. Probably not messing with the BIOS for now.

Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the Win-Raid Forum!
If you want to get usable Win11 drivers for a new PC/laptop, it is always a good idea to look into the Support pages of its manufacturer (here: HP).
Another possibility is to do a “Google Search” by entering the VendorID and DeviceID details of the related devices (e.g. “VEN_8086&DEV_A876”).
Good luck!
