[Request] Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3-A Disabled System Temp Sensor Mod

Hi!

I am wondering if there is a way to mod the BIOS for a Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3-A to ignore the reading for the “System Temperature” sensor. It is sending erroneous BD PROCHOT signals after the temperature sensor has been damaged in shipping. The reading is constantly 127C which obviously means that it is broken. Disabling BD PROCHOT signals with ThrottleStop works but I have to run it every time I start my computer and its effects cannot be applied in other OSes.

I have tried clearing the CMOS and reflashing the latest version of the BIOS, but to no avail.

EDIT: CPU is an Intel i7-4790 if that helps with anything.

Thanks!

Not seeing an option for that as mod… this should be deeply tied to the ITE I/O, hardware/power management IC and PCH, deep in the code.
I dont have faith on this to your issue… but you can try to update the ME FW engine to the latest version and perform an FPT -greset

Ah, unlucky. Thanks though, I’ll try that!
