[Request] HP dc7600 BIOS Unlocking for Core 2 duo and quad

Hi everyone, I have a HP dc7600 CMT that I would like to upgrade from a P4 521 to something Core 2 Duo/Quad era. From what I have seen, the HP comes with a 945G Express chipset that supports Core 2 Duo but HP’s bios locks down this. If anyone can kindly mod the BIOS or unlock it so that it supports these processors, that would be nice. I also have a spare Xeon 5160 for a Dell precision 490, and I was wondering if I could use the 771-775 mod to use that instead. I have a random Core 2 Duo e7400 and was wondering if I could use that.

P.S I’m building a XP-era computer that can decently run games and such.

hp dc7600 bios mod - Google Search

TONS of it…

EDIT: xiiii…no useful info to do it? No…really? So sorry…

There isn’t any actual mods.

Can you create any mods or such?

By injecting some microcode and I have no idea and am new to BIOS modding

I have also found out that the newer Core 2 architecture requires VRM 11, but I have VRM 10. This can be bypassed with a pin mod. There is no information that directly points to an available BIOS to download when googling.

P.S I’m planning on using a Core 2 Duo E7400 I have laying around

Hi, can you help me mod the BIOS?

I have absolutley no idea how 2 mod a HP bios

From August till now, you couldn’t find any useful info??? That’s sad sir… means you dont use web resources or use it for the wrong purposes.
Xeon 5060 in hp sff dc7600 (945G chipset)
Read the 3 pages of this thread and you’ll see WHY.
One thing is bios code/possible mods another thing is HW design limitation from the OEM
Thats a system board of 10 to 15€uros for a used item sir…plenty of other used boards out there with higher chipset and design, dont you know that the 945G is a “cheap” low end chipset…???
That’s all from me regarding this issue.

Well “SIR”, I already read that thread and I’m just trying to make use of what I have.
