thanks for the detailed and very well explained analyze
I assume you did reset CMOS
before i step in the (new) topic with CH341 i performed the standard solutions to solve the problem. you mean unplug power cord > long press power button to make PC powerless > press the button at the mainboard beside the BIOS chip ?
however i’ll perform it again.
tried to start several times?
sure, i tried power off and power on many times.
This no longer looks firmware related to me.
any idea what to do as next?
meanwhile, i tried for example to flash from the 2nd working PC. in this case, after ~10 seconds the fan speed is getting very high. but, the remaining behaviour is same, this means no video, no keyboard, …
CMOS battery
replace battery?
but i can not imagine that a dead/bad battery can cause this kind of problems.
GOOD NEWS!
in short: with the attached bin file i’m able to boot.
i create with FIT (fit.exe) a blank bin file with using of the BIOS file ‘N21_0261.bin’ and the ME with ‘ME_11.8_Corporate_D0_H_Production.bin’. i dont use the backuped bin file. i opened the FIT and under layout i select the according files, see screenshots below for the settings.
but, at BIOS no serial number is available. almost everything at info page is missing.
however, for me its an big/great/happy progress, that i have now video and keyboard.
“Interesting” try. It’s unclear what happened here. There aren’t too many relavant changes in ME settings, you might’ve connected PCIe devices differently, might’v changed communication to TPM, whatever.
The ME config of the two original images was identical, and it’s identicial to several images floating on the net. So there’s no reason to assume another config would repair “something”.
