Hello. I have been trying unsuccessfully to edit the UEFI variables on this machine so I can expose things like CFG Lock, Overclocking Lock, etc. I keep running into a write_protection error every time I attempt to write the new value.
I must admit I am a newbie when it comes to this, so I am humbly asking for assistance or suggestions on how I can go about unlocking the bios? My ultimate goal here is to expose enough of the bios settings so that I can have full control over the hardware without having to have the Omen Gaming Hub installed.
I can provide/upload a copy of the bios if anyone is able to help.
Hey, I have an OMEN MAX Gaming Laptop 16-ah0097nr. Have you found any breakthroughs in being able to under volt or access advanced settings? I found that holding/clicking ctrl+f10 while booting into bios opens advanced settings but all it shows is memory timings.
Unfortunately, no. I was able to get to the point with a UEFI variable editor to change the values that I wanted, but it would always give me a write_protection error. HP has it locked down.
