[Request] Intel NUC8i3BEH BIOS+EC

Hi, I’m looking for a BIOS and EC chip for my Intel NUC8i3BEH (motherboard model NUC8i3BEB). I received a faulty unit and am trying to repair it. The previous owner tried to tinker with it and erased the BIOS and EC chips, and I’ve been struggling with this for several hours (I’m a complete novice at this). I managed to rebuild the BIOS from the NUC8i7BEH, but the unit still doesn’t respond to the power button. The board seems to be receiving power normally, as the green LED next to the SATA connector is lit.

Dump and post the reading of the IC, it can be rebuilt from (now) Asus NUC files or rebuild/clean ME FW.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Here’s a dump of the main BIOS chip W25Q128JV and a dump of the EC chip W25Q80DV. The EC chip has some dumps from the internet loaded, but they didn’t help solve the problem.

I’m sorry i’m not losing my time trying to check/rebuild web dumps or not original machine ones…

Here’s your “work” on the right side…does it look similar to you, against an original dump on the left???

No one is giving you their own original dumps with original system data in it or without providing your system mb original data.

Dont ever come here with web dumps to fix.

I know this BIOS and EC aren’t suitable, so I’m looking for original ones I can flash. I don’t have access to another machine like this, and I can’t find anything online.

As I mentioned, someone before me erased both chips, so I don’t have the original system data. What I sent are two dumps: one from the internet, the other I made myself, but I’m new to this, so I mentioned it right away. I don’t expect anyone to send me their dumps, but at least advise me on what to do and how, or where to get a clean canvas, and whether it’s even possible to bring the device back to life. Sorry to have wasted your time. I’ll continue searching the internet.

Im sorry, my bad then as the authenticity and SN along with original dumps are the only ones valid for work on and i would never asked to post any of these flashed web dumps.

Maybe some one will answer your request on your Badcaps post, witch i doubt.

I started this thread wrong, so I apologize. I’m just working on restoring a NUC8i3BEH after a company wiped both chips. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the original dump from this particular unit—I’m trying to reconstruct the BIOS and EC firmware myself, based on official .BIO files from Intel and analysis of the region structure.

I’m using CH341A for reading/writing, UEFITool for analysis, HxD for extraction.

I know that dumps with a confirmed SN and authentic source are preferred on this forum—in my case, that’s unfortunately not possible. I’m not uploading any files from the internet, just my own experiments and reconstruction attempts.

I’m simply wondering if anyone could help me determine:

  • Which GUIDs are required for a correct POST?

What’s the best approach to reconstructing NVRAM and DXE/PEI structures?

And where can I find information that will allow me to do it myself, or if anyone have a blank canvas so I can dig around in it myself.

I am learning and working independently, but I would be happy to benefit from the experience of more advanced people.

Sir… a rebuild using OEM update files (most of them bios region update only) it’s only possible with an original dumped main image (all regions expanded) till a certain degree of corruption… for sure not the one supplied.

To answer your questions and get a clear view of what i’m talking about, read some NUC threads as linked in the previous “search” as they illustrate exactly what i’m talking about it, rebuild/fix.

By the way, this is not a forum that rebuilds for free web users corrupted firmwares, whoever do it is of free will and at the expense of their own time and there are some users who will do it… others drop out as it becomes a very demanding and requested task, this is a “learning” DIY forum.

That’s all from me, you may wait for other users POV, good luck.
