My predator helios laptop throttles total system power to about 140-150 watts, the gpu max power draw is 110w, so when the cpu goes up to 60+ watts in cpu intensive games, the gpu limits itself to a hard lock of 75 watts. This is a known issue with this particular laptop as it should run at around 90 watts , dynamic boosting to 110, not staying at 75…
I have put honeywell ptm7950 on CPU and GPU , and am running iets gt500 cooling pad , thermals are very good , so there is allot of thermal headroom. The laptop also comes with a 230w power brick, so it really should utilize more watts.
So modding bios to get gpu and cpu working both max power should be no issue in terms of thermals.
I am requesting for a modified BIOS that can allow for this to happen.
I am new to BIOS modding so a little help with how to flash the BIOS would be really appreciated.
