[Request] Modded Zotac ER51060 BIOS (CPU Upgrade)

I have a Zotac Magnus ER51060 mini PC that contains a A320 Motherboard.

It originally came with a Ryzen 5 1400 65W TDP, I upgraded it to a R7 1700 65W TDP.

I really want to get this upgraded again to at least a R7 2700 65W TDP or above so that I can use Windows 11 on this machine as it is great for my needs.

Zotac never released a bios once the Ryzen 2000 CPU’s were released, thus no support is included for the 2000, 3000 or 5000 series CPU’s.

Here is the link to the last bios they released. Hopefully someone can help me (LAST ER51060 BIOS)

Many thank in advance

Edit by Fernando: Thread title customized and shortened

Get a programmer, read/dumps ICs and test yourself bios mod adding mcodes witch it may not be enough as AMD AGESA is a “biatch” but you may have lucky.

EDIT: That’s the “cost” of modding and “Let’s see if”…no pain no gain.
There’s no other way unless a user can share such “achieved mod” and has such Zotac model/mb.

And keep in mind if anyone shared such mod done and NOT yet tested, reported by no one and still assure you 101% safe to flash/work… there’s always risk present, even official bios files sometime go wrong…

The rule is always to stay on the safe side as much as possible…if the asset is to care for then stay put and dont risk it.

oh yikes, don’t think I am capable of that, I would not even know where to start. If anyone can help, I can test stuff out. I assume I would still need a programmer though. Will I need to remove the chip from the board to program it? if I have to do that, I think this is a non starter :frowning: its such a shame as its a really nice system.

The AMD platform is not like the INTEL platform, which can support new processors by importing cpu code, ME, and GOP
In addition to Agesa, SMUs are also needed, but AMD’s development tools have not been leaked

So before I go looking for a new mini PC, just to confirm due to the lack of tools, updating the bios is not possible at all then :frowning: what a shame, but it is what it is. Thanks for the response clearing the situation up. I had wondered when looking why most mods were for Intel.
