how can you be sure this won’t install chinese spyware on your computer? have any of you checked the files to make sure your not installing virus? I trust virustotal and microsoft more than some rando on the internet. why would anyone install a gigant backdoor on their pc when upgrading to windows 11 is free?
Oh God.
“Upgrade” to win11 and don’t visit such sites as this one.
I do NOT think there is a real need to worry because the warnings on the screenshot are about old certificates used to sign modded drivers.
About Win11, many people are using these drivers on older AM4 systems which are not oficially supported by Win11 and require effort and knowledge to install Win11 on older PCs and not get screwed over by a Windows update because Microsoft wants you to buy a new PC.
Hey boys, i just updated my bios to f20a version in mobo B650 aorus elite AX and they added here xhci so u dont need to use edited acpi. Sys for Windows 7… I hope i helped youuu boyss
I checked the files with bitdefender Total Security antivirus and they are legit. That software what ur using is not legit.
Sorry about the slow reply, Tried this driver on a couple other versions of windows 7, it recognizes it, as the 10Gb Marvel Ethernet driver but gives me error 10. Driver test signing is off btw so it’s not that. any more leads I could try ? still running the ROG Crosshair Extreme 8
Giga B650 aorus elite AX will be bsod of a5 is not xhci but acpi.Has bios f20a update fixed the bug?
Sorry. What revision of this MB?
Yes, u need only to slip stream a drivers.
Update your bios to f20a and dont forget to load optimize settings.i just enabled csm support and it works with uefi storage option like a charm.
Hello @canonkong
want to build am4 with new x570s boards. do the new x570S boards with alc4080 or alc4082 work with win7/8.1? drivers available ?
@avsd1
I have win 7 installed on am5 (msi b650 tomahawk) and it has alc4080. Driver included in first post (Realtek USB Audio) works with no problem. But there is only 1 problem and it is during win 7 installation I kept getting BSOD error related to “realtek usb audio” which I fixed it by disabling “HD Audio Controller” using bios and installed win 7 and then re-enabled it and installed the driver.
@aquafortis no need for MSI boards (and also Gigabyte B650 aorus elite AX with bios f20a too according to @Lojza).
Is LAN 2.5G and wifi working? Any problems with drivers for win7 for them?
@Chubays
wifi does not work. LAN 2.5G works yet I do see a “Network Controller” error in device manager… not sure what it is. In my cases (online gaming and web surfing) I haven’t encountered any “network” problems…
BTW “Unknown device” is related to my CPU (7900X3D) though my CPU-Z benchmark was on par with benchmarks done by tech reviewers on their Win 11…
standard vga driver and unknown device ? which are those missing ?
2nd Question - EDIT - Win-7/8.1 also working on B650E/X670E with ALC4080/4082 ?
“Standard VGA Graphics Adapter” is iGPU of 7900X3D. Though I did use my iGPU to boot into win7 with no problems a few times. But that’s the extend that I used it for as I already have dGPU…
“Unknown device” is related to 7900X3D as this error appears on win10/11 too if installed incorrectly (from TechPowerUp: “Once the drivers are installed, you should see a “AMD 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer” entry in Device Manager, System Devices. If you get an unknown device “ACPI\AMDI0101,” then your chipset drivers aren’t installed properly, Uninstall and reinstall them.”), yet as I said, I’ve had same CPU-z benchmark score of this cpu as win11.
Tom’s Hardware 7900X3D review has this same benchmark on win11:
For 2nd question I see no reason why it shouldn’t work since it’s MSI.
ALC4082 I don’t know but B650 Tomahawk has ALC4080 and it works.
Great Thanks ! I hope there are no issues with Asrock AM5 boards like it had with am4 (acpi.sys) win7/8.1 won’t work on them.
I’d rather do an AM5(7600x) build rather than the 5800x3d for my killer Win 7 machine.
Driver already update,you can use new driver to drive it.
