[Solved] Acer Aspire ES1-711 Unlock Bios / Menu or Secure Boot deactivate

Ok I’ll test it! I reset all the settings and test it!

I meant script for Windows. It uses PowerShell capabilities.

I have tested it in administrator mode.

It saves the current setup data all.

But it does not go any further with the options. It hangs there somehow!

@ralf
Since you’ve already found the solution, I guess it doesn’t matter.

It is the method to set the supervisor password. Then goes to disable Secure boot.
The only annoying thing is that the password is requested at every bios access!
If your method also goes without password query, and you still have desire to tinker, then I would also like to make your method:-)

@ralf
If the script saves setup data at least in one text file and only after that it hangs, the problem may be PowerShell version. I tested it on version 5.

Which Powershell version should I test then?

And where can I download it?

Hi Sweet Kitten,

the script from you works, even if it hangs!
Just let it work for a few minutes and then turn off the laptop with power button!
Then secure boot is disabled in the bios and everything works without supervisor password.

So there are 2 methods that work with the laptop:

Assign supervisor password(Method from MAKS see above) or use the PowerScript(ZYL.zip from Sweet Kitten see above)

Many thanks to you
