Current bios: 2.42.0
Bios file: precision_5820_2.42.2.exe
I have extracted a folder with multiple .bin files and have modified the “3 CombineBiosName2 v99.1.45 – 1 System BIOS [V0 AMI] v2.42.0.bin” file with the ReBarUEFI.ffs.
Below is a screen grab of the .exe contents. Does anyone know how to recompile these back into .exe for use?

The current process to get to here:
-Precision_5820_2.42.0.exe → dell_pfs_extractor_pfs_only.exe
-output [folder in original image]
-open “[modifier] 1 system BIOS [v0 ami] v2.42.0.bin” with UEFItool
-Search 3C1DE39F-D207-408A-AACC-731CFB7F1DD7 and insert rebarUEFI.ffs after the last .dxe (and before the “free space”)
-confirm the rebar dxe is present and save.
I have tried using linux terminal to “cat [all files] install.exe” i get “not a recognized executable” when running.
I have tried creating a biosproject.c file to load the .bin files and mingw (gcc) to compile it, but this is something i’m not familiar with, and dont know if fopen is the correct thing to use here. either way, using fopen, i return either “failed to open” when using a purely the modified bios bin file, and for the full “cat” output, it loads, but returns with a windows error “may not have installed correctly”
solved and not sharing. its a massive security vulnerability.

I saw your post on the Dell Community forum. I really don’t mind using the modded bios on my 5820. It’s going to be use for a personal locked down NVR. Any chance you can send DM me that bios or how to compile the modded drivers and I’ll mod the most recent drivers?
EDIT: I reached out to my Dell Rep and I was told that Resizable BAR will never be available on the 5820 because it is not required for the hardware options they offered. Also, since the 5820 is no longer sold, Intel ARC gpu REBAR requirement is not within their update scope.
I am using this for a personal build and am simply trying to get ReBar working for better performance. Any possibility of sharing via DM or other method?
