HI elisw, when I try to flash it via the instant flash it gaves me the "No image detected" error.
How can I fix it
Thanks

as written elsewhere, just use the exact name and extension (H11MHDS7.30) once unzipped (it is a .7z file)

Thank you @elisw , i should flash this final bios from a pendrive or using some software?
Will my g4560 still work?
thanks

Hi, @elisw ,

I see you have modded this BIOS to support Coffee Lake without giving up Kaby Lake. How did you do that?

I have a Kaby Lake cpu on an ASRock H110M-STX (Deskmini 110W model) and would like to mod it to use an i7-8700. I have used the guide in the "Coffee Lake on ASRock" thread to mod the BIOS, and that only allows Sky Lake and Coffee Lake (Kaby Lake is replaced). I have not flashed yet because I’m waiting for parts.

You kept all three. Can I do the same by manual editing of the modded BIOS after following the guide?

If not, is it true that I would have to have a Sky Lake cpu to flash the BIOS? Or can I flash it with the Kaby Lake, power down, install the Coffee Lake, and reboot?

If the cpu is not fully compatible, would that normally mean the computer will not even post, or would it work a little but PCI-e and hard drives might not work? Would I still be able to get to the UEFI to flash back to the original, or would I most likely have to reprogram externally (raspberry Pi or whatever)?

Thanks a million!

Sorry for digging this up, but can I use this mod for my h110m-hds R3? Just to get clear whether should I follow the guide all over to get things done or not.
Also it seems that my PC won’t let me run IBMP so it’ll be a lot of help and time-saving if this mod does support my MOBO.
Thanks

I’ve updated my AsRock H110M-STX with Skylake/Coffeelake microcodes and it still runs fine with a Kabylake CPU (7100T) installed.
Regardless,
Here’s a way to update the microcode to Kabylake/Coffeelake

The needed microcode is found in UBU/Modules/Mcode/1151
Make a new folder to isolate the Skylake BE and Kabylake 7C microcodes
Rename the prefered microcodes like this:
cpu506E3_plat36_ver000000BE_2017-08-20_PRD_DFF17890 (Skylake BE) - isolate
cpu906E9_plat2A_ver0000007C_2017-12-03_PRD_6CF72404 (KabyLake 7C) - isolate
cpu906E9_plat2A_ver00000084_2018-01-21_PRD_A1B7222B (Kabylake 84) - rename to (KabyLake 7C)
cpu906EB_plat02_ver00000072_2017-09-20_PRD_A08C2841 (Coffeelake 72) - rename to (Skylake BE)

Open UBU and Update the GOP Driver like normal with option 2
Keep the current kabylake microcode 84 by selecting 7C
Skipping Kabylake in UBU_v1.69.17.4 removes the Kabylake Microcode
Update Skylake to Coffelake by choosing BE
If successful it should now have Kabylake/Coffeelake Mcode

hello admin
I want to use this main:"AsRock H110M HDS" to use cpu core i3 9100f with this bios version, thank you admin.

Thank you so much for providing these files! know this is an old thread but I’m hoping someone might notice my reply that may be able to tell me what I’m missing here. I have two AsRock H110M-ITX boards and two i5-8500t CPUs so I would really like to get this working. I have used a CH341A to flash the final version and tried covering the two pins shown on the he LTT forum but I cannot get it to POST, The fan spins for a fraction of a second and it shuts off… Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I

@imseanross - I assume you need to do what is listed for ASRock in this image (Short & Isolate) But, only @elisw can confirm what is needed on this exact board since it’s their BIOS mod they would know for sure
Since you are using flash programmer, that would mean ME FW for sure is downgraded to what’s in the known working mod BIOS, so the instant on/off can only mean you need to connect those two green pads since we know it’s not ME FW issue
Also, I would personally redo that furthest left tape dot, it looks like it could let pin tip possibly connect on some of it’s edges. It’s OK to cover the “red” one next to it going towards CPU center, so don’t let that feel like it’s in your way and you can’t touch it etc

Thank you for the reply, do you recommend any particular conductive ink or paint for shorting the pins?

@imseanross - Sorry, no, I don’t have any favorite brand or anything, just make sure it’s conductive ink/paint, or use silver/copper tape etc, or solder (I use solder for such things)
Liquid graphite will work too, user showed me he did this week, maybe he can advise you a brand/link to purchase @MrCjxer can you advise/link on the liquid graphite you used - thanks

Soooo sorry for late answer !
No i don’t have any link for that . A computer service did a two-pin connection for me
But its working nice and easy

as a side note… I only used the board with B0 CPU (i3 8100) so I didn’t have to do anything with the pins.

Will it work with an i3 9100f and Pcie?

@Seomekss - ONLY if you have B0 - SSPEC SRF7W - i3-9100F (906EB) << This CPU type does not require pad mods, only requires the older version ME FW and you’re good to go
U0 - SSPEC SRF6N - i3-9100F (906EA) = not supported by “Mod2” on first post << ** This CPU type require pad mods to CPU **

If you have SRF6N 9100F, then you will have to ask elisw if they will do new mod for U0/906EA CPU’s
Never mind, sorry, see post #4 for BIOS compatible with either 9100F CPU!!

It has stock bios 7.10 and ME FW version 11.0.0.1171

that should be fine ¿right?
