Hi all

First of all, I apologize for my English level. It is not my mother tongue so I will try to be clear.

I would like to modify the BIOS of my motherboard with a lower microcode.

I own an i7-4770 processor, and I would like to play around with the TSX functions. Intel disabled it through a microcode cause a “bad implementation”. Would it be possible to reimplement? Can anybody help me?

I think the latest version with TSX available is this:

"19 version, dated 02/26/2014"

And this is the latest version of my bios (F9B)

@Conki - stock BIOS had 2 x 306C3 in it already, Rev 12 + 1C - I removed both of those and inserted only Rev 19

RPCS3 a PS3 Emulator it needs TSX instruction set to speed up emu up to 30%-50% basically to get more FPS and some users reported that enabling TSX on 4th Gen CPU like mine on disabled TSX CPU speeds up the game without issues at all.

This is my 1st my first goal, my 2nd goal is to disable Intel integrated graphics as it was adding more heat to the CPU which I don’t really need.

Thanks @gjalleri did you leave some off your comment, or a comma missing, or am I reading that wrong? Sounds confusing, broken thought, or something missing

What system do you have? I can make BIOS for you where you can disable the iGPU, unless it’s a laptop then I only suggest you attempt that once you have a flash programmer in hand and have a backup made and are ready to recover BIOS (Often = black screen and blind BIOS recovery only option without programmer)

Yep it’s totally broken english hahahaha, anyway english is not really my first language so yeah.
