Why I get this error: No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure

Hello,

on old computer with same OS, we did not have this problem.

We have Olympus microscope with camera which comes with software. So we have normally installed the program
from the Olympus on Windows xp sp3 without any problems.

But after that when we want to open the program, it give us this error:

No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure

after that I click ok.

and then we receive this error:

LoadLibary (SisMain.dll) failed!

We have contacted Olympus, and they told us to install IPP_5_4_3_Runtime.ZIP from this page: https://www.olympus-sis.com/corp/2417.htm#24

But when i click on setup.exe file, and when the setup starts, few seconds later for no reason the installation disappears…

So I dont whether the installation was successful or not.

however when i try to open the program again, it give us the same error.

While I wait for the answer from Olympus, i hope someone can help. What IPP_5_4_3_Runtime does ?

can we simply copy/paste missing dll files from old pc or what ?

or is there another solution for that ?

Thank you

Maybe this will help - https://www.sevenforums.com/software/296…lly-solved.html

@Lost_N_BIOS

Hi,

i saw that, and i tried to remove files from post #5

ippcore-6.1
ippj-6.1
ippjw7-6 … 1
IPPS-6.1
ippvc-6.1

but then i receive error that this files are missing…

i can only try to copy ippsw7-6.1.dll from post #2

can you tell me is it possible to see what IPP_5_4_3_Runtime.ZIP do when instalaltion is complete ?

or somehow to extract all files from setup ?

you can download file here: https://www.olympus-sis.com/corp/2417.htm#24

at number 12. Missing DLL’s in the waterfall procedure - IPP RUNTIME 5.4.3

thanks

@bundyboy - Those fixes may only apply to Win7, or may only apply to the software they are using (didn’t sound like same as you). I linked that, in case something else in the thread may help, I didn’t read entire thread.

Sounds like you need to place SisMain.dll in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder, then reboot and try again. That fix you were linked to, from Olympus says “For Newer computers” but you are running XP, which is 18 years old now, unsure what they mean there though or when that was written.

You can extract all files from the setup by running it (the setup.exe), then it will install them all to proper locations. SisMain.dll is not inside there, you will need to download this from google
You can extract the Data1.cab file, which contains all the .dll’s, (100x .dll’s) Do that by installing Winrar, right click that data.cab file and choose extract to data1 folder. I can’t upload that for you, it’s 171MB after being unpacked

What is this software anyway? Some photo editing stuff? If yes, and you want something nice, you can install GIMP, it’s free and nearly as powerful as Photoshop. There is also some older free versions of Photoshop now too I think.

@Lost_N_BIOS

Yes, but when I run the setup.exe, few seconds later for no reason the installation disappears…

So I dont whether the installation was successful or not.

do you have maybe ability to install IPP_5_4_3_Runtime, and then all files upload here maybe ?

also about Data1.cab file, where should i place all this dll files ?

This software is from Olympus for the microscope, in this software we can take photos from microscope. But we can
also take measures if we need.

like this: https://www.olympus-ims.com/en/microscope/stream2/#!cms[tab]=%2Fmicroscope%2Fstream2%2Foverview

As mentioned, you can extract the Data1.cab file, which contains all the .dll’s, (100x .dll’s) Do that by installing Winrar, right click that data.cab file and choose extract to data1 folder. I can’t upload that for you, it’s 171MB after being unpacked
Put them here, reboot, and then try again >> C:\WINDOWS\system32
Also, place copies in the “C:\Program Files\Olympus or whatever folder name the exe is installed into” folder where this application installs/runs from
*Intel site here says it looks in both locations (sys32 and program install exe location)- https://software.intel.com/en-us/article…h-error-message

Do you have XP SP3 installed?

Thanks for explaining what the software is for. I could send you several USB microscope programs, but they are “general” type for cheap USB microscopes, probably wouldn’t even work with something that fancy/expensive
Setup a test install of Win7 and see if the software installs and runs properly there, it could just be some random XP issue you will never be able to solve.

I see, maybe you found solution at superuser site Also, copy SisMain.dll from other system, to both of the above mentioned folders

@Lost_N_BIOS

so the setup.exe installation only extracts the Data1.cab file, nothing else ?

yes, i have installed modified windows xp sp3 from infuscomus, see this: [Guide] Integration of AMD’s AHCI/RAID drivers into a WinXP/W2k3 CD (7)

i dont know what exactly are the differences between this modified windows xp sp3 and normal xp sp3, do you know maybe ?

this program should normally work on windows xp sp3, as it works on old computer with xp sp3, but at this moment it is not working on new computer which has modified windows xp sp3

I dont know if i can install Windows 7 32 bit on this new computer or again I need modified ISO file ?

from the information available, this Olympus software works only on 32bit version of OS, in this case Windows xp and Vista…

so maybe it could work on Windows 7 32 bit…

tnx

No, it does other stuff, runs the other installers, unpackages things, checks system type, ID etc and then installs the appropriate files in their respective locations.

No, I don’t know what is in your modified XP install I only asked if you had SP3 installed, because if not I was going to suggest you install SP3, in case it was some issue with only being SP1 or SP2

As for Win7, you can install that on any system you want, it’s free to install and test for 30-90 days I think even without a key. You do not need modified install ISO, you can install untouched ISO from DVD or USB (you need the Win7 DVD/USB Install tool for that)
Yes, you can try 32bit Win7 if you wanted. But, on SuperUser forum, you said it’s working on your other XP just fine, so copy all the DLL’s from that one to this one, and then reboot and try again.

Sorry, I am not best person to advise about software issues, I only tried to help with what little I found in google and know about computers. I modify BIOS mainly

Here you can get Win7 x86 ISO, google D89937DF3A9BC2EC1A1486195FD308CD3DADE928 and you will find your way
Or, you can use this downloader https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details…nload_tool.html
Or you can go here, and select what you want - https://tb.rg-adguard.net/public.php

@Lost_N_BIOS

I really appreciate your help, in any case i am going to try install windows 7 32bit on this pc:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Asus PRIME A320M-K
16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000MHz
XFX RX 570 8GB GDDR5
SSD AData 960GB Sata3
Normal Hard drive Toshiba 500GB Sata3

can I make USB ISO bootable with Rufus also ?

and the hard drive partition needs to be MBR ?

i hope that setup will go fine.

tnx

I don’t know, I don’t use Rufus for such tasks, I use the exact tool I linked you too, it’s very simple GUI and made for this reason by Microsoft.

Install of Win7 should be fine on that system, I’m quite surprised you were able to install XP to that modern system without having to use a heavily modified BIOS.
We have a whole section here in the forum dealing with that, and it’s active every day with users trying to solve issues with XP install and modern motherboards
