Hello community,
my purpose is to be able to use all the modules of the Asus Hyper M.2 x16 V2 with pci-e bifurcation x4x4x4x4
Menus are locked in the bios, I’ve been able to unlock it. But the problem is that the values x4x4x4x4 are not being saved.
I tried with no pcie cards in the slots and with several configurations on the slots, on the two x16 ones with and without any other card.
My setup:
- Motherboard: ASUS Z9PA-D8
- Platform: 2 x Socket 2011
- Chipset: Intel® C602-A PCH
- Bios version 5602 AMI
- OS: Proxmox VE
- 2x E2667v2
- 8x 16GB DDR3 1600
- Moded Bios 5602 and enabled the hidden menus for pcie bifurcation on IOH 0 and IOH 1
PCI Slots:
S2(PCIE1 x8 2.0): Empty
S3(PCIE2 x16 3.0 [x8 when S4 populated]): Asus Hyper M.2 x16 V2 with 4 Nvme
S4(PCIE3 x8 3.0): Empty
S5(PCIE4 x16 3.0 [x8 when S6 populated]): Intel Eth 4x1Gbit
S6(PCIE5 x8 3.0): LSI Raid card
SA(PIKE): Empty
I come from this thread where I explain my problems.
I was able to unlock the menus using AMIBCP 4.53, transforming the .cap to .rom and flash it with a FreeDos usb boot device following the proper steps with the command:
AFUDOS modedbios.rom /GAN
I didn't modify it with hex editor with the extraction method using the UEFItool.exe 0.21.5 and IFRextractor.
Perhaps I should? Any help is very welcome. Thanks
