2233-HECI error during MEBx execution

good morning
I do not know what to choose
1-fdo
2-PSWD

Put jumper on FDO, otherwise you cannot write to the ME region with FPT. Once done with above, remove jumper from FDO, paswd does not matter if jumper in place or not, it’s only to clear password

Thank you very much for the clarification

After you run it
Pressing a character Y
What should I do

Please what I should do

@efraym - Dang, why does Intel have to be so difficult , I already cut the file to adjust size once initially to make smaller, now I need to make larger, sorry
I do think the above would have been OK, since the end is all padding anyway (FF’s), but just in case since we’ve had so much hassle already, here is exact length file!

And for DOS FPT, you simply type FPT.exe (Or FPT) instead of FPTw. Please run the DOS version instead of windows as plutomaniac suggested
FPT.exe -me -f Extracted_ME2.bin

After you run it from dos

You have to put the Extracted_ME2.bin into the same folder with fpt.exe on your DOS boot drive

All files are in the same folder as this

Try rename to short name instead, ME2.bin and put that in command instead.
FPT.exe -me -f ME2.bin

If still same error, type the following after error and show me image

dir/w

She was successful this time
look at the picture
Flying jumper was removed after running it

Great! Now, you need to go into MEBx via Control + P at startup (Where you normally hit button to enter BIOS, hit Control+P instead a few times), and enable AMT / ME etc

There is no response when pressed Control+P
I tried several times
You receive error messages

What should I do now

Man, I don’t get this! Did you drain all power again after ME flash? Sorry, I forgot to remind you, maybe this will help. Or from windows run FPTw.exe -greset and try again after it reboots.

After you run it
Get the error

Do from DOS then. If that fails, do manually, remove CMOS Battery, unplug PSU, press and hold the power on switch for 10-15 seconds, then let system sit for 1+ minute without power. Put CMOS battery back, plug in PSU, enter BIOS, load defaults and try again.

Do you use AMT or MEBx usually? If not, I think we can put other ME in there instead (Base Consumer, instead of Digital Office)

I did everything you told me exactly
And it worked
But it needs a password

Great, success finally! Now, before anything else, please make a backup with programmer, make sure it’s verified by programmer and valid by opening in hex and see it’s not all FF or 99

I believe password is admin or Admin by default, it’s in the guides I linked in post #86
*Edit - yes, it’s on page 5 here, lowercase admin is the password, see page 4 for password guidelines, password must be changed to enter

You say great success
I do not know how to thank you
you’re a great man
