@Lost_N_BIOS I know that you have a full time work with all the threads but i tag you in case you didn’t notice this thread!
Thanks!
@boombastik - Thank you, and sorry, Yes, I did miss this until now!
What is model of this system so I can keep BIOS in proper folder on my end, thanks.
And, please link me to stock BIOS download for this model if you can, if not I will find one you give me model name. This is non-standard BIOS size, how did you get this file??

Phoenix BIOS Editor and hex editor used to update microcodes here. Cbrom can’t do it, and straight hex I think will break checksum of this module (_C00.PEI), since I see it was changed post-edit. But, straight hex may be OK too, unsure
@Lost_N_BIOS i will flash it soon. The laptop is an acer and the link is here if you need it:
–https://www.acer.com/ac/en/ID/content/support-product/249;-;
bios files version 1.41 (this is the stock bios)
Phenix core bios.
Also i found (before i flash) that windows recognize the processor as id 10676 and load the microcode 610.
But this is wrong. I know that the p8400 has the id 10667a and needs the microcode aoe.
I am wrong here?
The microsoft guidance pdf that says the same.
Edit: basically I found that there exist 2 P8400. One have Id 10676 and the other Id 1067a.
@boombastik - Thanks for model link - Acer TravelMate 6293 / TM6293 - I edited your title
Yes, see here, at Core Steppings and CPUID, there is several variants of this CPU (5x main retail + several ES) and depending on SSPEC of the CPU will decide which microcode it uses

As always it worked like a charm.
@boombastik - Good to hear it, and thanks for the quick report back
Always worries me a little when PBE is used
