My son updated the Alienware 15 R4 i9 bios when the hard drive is blank because he was in the middle of restoring the OS. Right after that, there is no display what-so-ever (no POST, no splash, backlight etc) when powering up the laptop. The keyboard, side bar lights and the power button are lighting up but doing nothing else. I have a CH341a programmer and offloaded the bios image from the laptop. Then I try to program it with another bios image that I found in the Internet for the same model. It stills not booting up. Based on what I read in some of the posts in here, I think I need to hand merge some information from the original bios to a stock bios in order for the laptop to boot. Is that right?
