Alienware 17r1, fix a corrupted BIOS due to power failure

I’ve had a power failure while using dells bios update .exe to take my Alienware 17r1 from A17 to A14 (so I could run an unlocked BIOS mod).

Laptop will not turn on.

I have a programmer, I dumped what was on the BIOS chip (there are two on this board? I dumped what I understand to be the primary?) and used 7z and innoextract to make a .bin from the update .exe.

I tried flashing it and it took like three seconds instead of the five minutes or so that I was led to leave, and when I put the laptop back together it still wouldn’t power on.
I also had a little bit of damage to the cable that connects the whole keyboard assembly including the power button to the motherboard, one of the pins in the corner got a little bent so maybe that’s why?
But I’m really thinking more that it’s file not flashing correctly? If anybody could advise on this.

I don’t have a bios dump from before I attempted the downgrade

If its the same mb model…

Cut VAS00X64.fd file top data as screenshot, this will give you a 8192Kb file, main image to program.

Resulting in such

Should be lower UH14…

No dumps no original mainboard/system data to add/edit.
All this assuming U2 (EC IC) is ok (Charge/Power Led lits), if not you need to fetch a dump of it.

That’s all, good luck.

No, the charge light and power buttons don’t work. That’s the lower of the two chips. Fetch a dump and then what?

Souvenir maybe…

The flat cable has a couple bent lines in it I’m hoping might be the problem with the power button. If that doesn’t fix it,y only recourse is a new system board then? There’s no finding a recovery file for the U2 chip?

If I can get the EC section of the BIOS separated, do I then flash just that segment to the U2 chip?

Have you confirmed any information regarding the MB model/ref., ICs present etc… do you think i have here with me such system? Do you think i have with me all the systems that i try to help users?
Sir…get real will you, provide the correct info/confirmation details, detailed photos, ICs dumps/specs etc… etc… i have work to do, presential and work for living, im not here for to lose my time in free repairs, i only help what i can and there’s a limit on what be done on a remote forum
I don’t even know if you’re capable of operating a programmer and correctly dumping the IC’s, this is no task for a simple user with no previous experience in such operations.
That’s why there’s Tech IT repair professionals to do what a simple user has never done or knows anything about it. If you own an Alienware system, being not the most affordable system in the market…for sure you can pay for such service to a local repair shop and that’s my advice to inexperienced users.
