Fernando,
I have created (via EaseUS Partition Master) on a spare space of a RAID 0 volume (2xSAMSUNG 840 PRO SSD 256GB each) a new partition (320 GB).
All seems OK except ANVILPRO detect “Alignemnt Errot” and Index Anvil is only about 6000 instead of 9400 usually expected…
So, what does mean this ‘Alignement Error’ ?
How to avoid it, seems have perf impact ?
Your partition has to be aligned at the physical sectors of your SSDs. I think your parition tool is to old to pay regard to this fact.
A false alignment causes slower read and write rates because every logical sector of your parition is mapped to two physical sectors.
Maybe the following link will help you: Click here.
An alternative is to use the builtin parition tool of Windows or the Windows Setup. Windows 7 onwards respect the sector alignment.
MortLipf,
Many thanks.
I used "MiniTool Partition Wizard" V 8.1.1 and fixed the problem in one click.
Performance is as expected.
