How does one use the new GOP files rom AMD to add them into a BIOS using the GOP Updater tool?
Any guidance appreciated.

Released Version 1.9.6.5
Hi, I tried again. Update to v0x50009 (MSI 2070 Z)
And it worked very well!
I updated my mainboard bios to the latest version.
And use the last available driver Nvidia …
Thanks for the great program!
My graphics card is an RTX 2070 GAMING Z 8G from MSI.
I tried to update UEFI v0x50006 to v0x50009.
After the update/restart:
The monitor sporadically went on and off after the update (no signal).
Partially come green artifacts.
The system became very unstable due to the update.
Have the old UEFI on it again.
Nevertheless, thank you for your great work!
I’m looking forward to the next version.
LordKag, can you please update this with the new GOP from AMD, v2.5?
Maybe a bit of a problem for the non-UEFI BIOS version. It is still locked down, and there would be at least one byte to change in the legacy part of the BIOS.
Also, AMD released the same (exact same) BIOS with GOP/UEFI support. if you just flash that one, you are more than safe.

I don’t have a Radeon VII to flash that to. I have a Vega56 and wanted to integrate the newest v2.5 GOP into the vbios. The card original came with a vbios that included GOP v2.2, but using this tool I was able to upgrade it to v2.4.
sorry, how could i forget about Vega 10…

hey guys
this is the first post in this forum
I just found 2 new nvidia gops for TU1xx(0x5000A) and GP1xx (0x3000F)from Nvidia Titan RTX and KFA2 GTX 1060 6 GB OC,
submit the 2 Firmwares and the gop efiroms,
the size of TU1xx gop 0x5000A (68KB) is smaller than 0x50009 (70KB), can somebody compare the difference??
thanks, and sorry for my poor english
–update
I don’t know why can’t use nvflash with ‘-u’ option to upgrade gop of my Gigabyte RTX 2070 Gamming OC (this command works well with Gigabyte GTX 1060 Gamming 6G),so I replaced the gop modules in firmware file, new file size is smaller than original firmware file (1023KB → 1021KB)
however, the graphics card works well now!

Found new amd gop 2.5.0.0.0 form new radeon VII firmware
I don’t have any AMD graphics card so I can’t test this gop

Hi guys got a question,
Running a 980 Ti Kpe card with 20011 gop and having Sync - no signal issues at boot with a new MSI monitor on the display port connection. Tried two different cables. Older monitor with DP connection does not behave like that and placing monitor on newer 2080 card also is issue free. So wonder if there is a newer GOP than 20011 for Maxwell?
Thanks
Edit: Another stupid question: Why if I run the nvidia dp bug fix patch utility my file size for my Maxwell rom is 203 kb vs 199 kb if I do it with Gop Update Tool?
Also why can’t I run Gop update tool on a modded MBT maxwell vbios? Not that there is a GOP for maxwell beyond 20011!
Probably over thinking it…
Thanks

@davidm71
-20011 is the last (the same as nvidia dp fix provides)
-the difference exist because gop update tool removes the pad that is not needed.
-only nvidia dp bug fix dont run with modded bios.
-To make it work u need to find dp1 , try all dp ports.
For all asking for an updated GOP Update version, here we go:
I’ve added latest Pascal/Turing GOP tables, as well as AMD 2.5.0.0.0 RX Vega.
GOP_Updater_v1.9.6.5_a.rar (5.29 MB)
Can’t I run ‘nvflash -u gop20011.efirom’ on my maxwell bios tweaked modded rom and expect it to work as usual?
@davidm71 I am not sure what you modded, but I also modded my GTX960 bios (TDP limit set to iirc 240W, maximum, overclocked and set voltages), updated the GOP and it works fine.
