I got this board: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-TOMAHAWK - Yay to the future!
Downloaded this bios: https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C02v1D.zip
The board doesn’t support AMD CBS/PBS but thanks to some posts here I edited AMITSE and enabled it: https://easyupload.io/fp7ag9
So memory is running at 1600mhz and I applied a P-State overclock to P0. Ryzen 1700x is stable at 3.8ghz… Unfortunately the field for the FID values only takes numbers and caps out at “99”. It won’t let me enter letters or try a value like 100, etc. Is there a way to edit this?
CBS IFR is here: https://pastebin.com/ktcRDk66
Also, would like to disable PSP in bios. Its in the manual but seems to have been removed after this bios version: https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C02v17.zip
The setting was called “Bios PSP support”, was under overclocking → Cpu Features
Disabling PSP would be cool just like it was disabling ME on intel.
Any ideas on how to fix this or unlock more settings?
I found Bios PSP support in this module but it’s missing when I use the IFR extractor. They changed bios UI half way through so I’ll see if it’s in any of the other revisions that use the same UI.
I found PSP Support in the old PBS module and moved it over. I set the setting to disable but PSP still remains in device manager and re-detects when I uninstall it.
Loaded the old bios with updated microcode and set PSP disable but the device still remains… did microcode break disabling PSP?
