Hi.
My Intel motherboard with the same harddisks was RAID . After I change with the same windows to AMD TR4 with Gigabyte X399 , I can’t boot using RAID.
The X399 boots properly using AHCI .
Usually it’s Unable to Boot Inaccessible boot drive BSOD or something like that .
How can I manage to enable/install raid drivers and boot using RAID ? using to SSD UEFI to boot
I need the raid for my Samsung 1TB SJ x2 hard drives.
@x7007 :
An Intel RAID array and an AMD RAID array are not compatible to each other. So you cannot use your previously existing Intel RAID array resp. its data with an AMD Chipset system.
Provided, that you have done a backup of your Intel RAID data (you will lose your RAID array data), I recommend to do the following:
1. Insert the Intel RAID array into any Intel chipset system.
2. Delete the created Intel RAID array from within the Intel RAID Utiility.
3. Re-insert the former Intel RAID members into your new AMD chipset system.
4. If you want, you can create now a new AMD RAID array.
5. Now you are able to intall the desired OS onto your freshly created AMD RAID array.
