[ARCHIVE] Outdated UBU Tool related Questions, Reports and Suggestions

1) with original bios P2.00 reads ok
2) with bios manually edited with MMTool is a mess

The my bios mods is functional at 100%, presumably contains errors

There are no problems in displaying versions in this beta version of UBU Tool with my motherboard.

Here is a bios for 7802 , 7803 controllers from ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ motherboard.

There is a problem with Marvell 91xx AHCI/RAID ROM v1.0.0.1038 for DEV_9120 and DEV_91a0
not from UBU Tool but perhaps from the alignment correction.
If I sellect from bios to boot with the Marvell 9120 controller then the bios cannot desplay the firmware version and other Information but a cursor blink.
This does not happen with Marvell firmware version 1.0.0.1027 and 1.0.0.1029.

If you can, help me to find a solution with this problem.

Thanks for all and sorry for my bad English…

Do not worry, everything is going fine until. All you have is good, there are no errors. This is only beta version and I still tune correct display versions.

Thank you.
OROM Marvell, then I see, certainly

Added:
Beta 3 released.

Fixed display versions SATA and Video.
Added 7801 - 7803.
Update DrvVer v0.11.1
Link in the previous post.

Added:
Beta 4 released.

Corrected minor errors.
Added AMD modules in folder "Modules\AMD"

UBU v1.8.0 RC1 released.
Added support for updating AMD Sata controllers.

PS Unfortunately I could not find OROM 7801 AHCI newer than 3.0.9. If anyone will fall original OROM AHCI 7801, newer than 3.0.9, I would always add

I have never seen a newer original AMD AHCI ROM version for VEN_1022/DEV_7801.
Nevertheless I have tried to modify the AMD AHCI ROM module v3.2.1.0 to make it usabe with DEV_7801 AMD AHCI Controllers. I have attached this modded and checksum corrected module (hoping, that it will work).

If someone from the owners of AMD motherboard is on, check and confirm the performance of this module, I will gladly add it.

If you can, update the UBU Tool to support the latest amd cpu agesa driver.

Here is a latest bios with agesa driver 1.5.0.2 and a picture with a list of agesa versions.

Thank you

You can guarantee that the driver AGESA is universal and will work on any motherboard is AMD?

No I can not

I’m sorry, but I can not add support AGESA. Since on Intel platform can be easily tracked in the BIOS for what he processor. And insert the correct microcode respectively. How to do it at AMD BIOS I can not even imagine.

where can we download theis version from?
I would like to take a look at it…

EDIT: I found it on your host, thanks…

@kgbab
Although, I have one thought.
Tell me please. FX990 Series is what the CPU socket?

@SoniX
the 990FX series chipset has AM3+ as CPU-socket

Ok!
Now I looked at the BIOS from ASRock, starting with 870, 880 … 990. They all AgesaDxeDriver OrochiPI.
I think you can try to implement an update for AM3+. But …
I have a number of questions.
1) On the motherboard is AM3+ modules can be 7801-7803 or only 4391-4392?
2) Need only AGESA or more module GUID DE3E049C-… ?

  1. Only 439x

    2. http://www.asrock.com/mb/index.asp?s=AM3%2b

    I hope to help you

add: 2. but the latest agesa driver from asrock for 990fx is only version 1.2.9.0

Well, then AGESA, I will add later.
But I’m interested in this one module GUID DE3E049C-A218-4891-8658-5FC0FA84C788. It is needed or not? When you manually updated AGESA module, the change also that module?

I’m not sure, it’s a question such as other modules (CpuPei, AmdInitPostPeim, AmiAgesaDxe …)

I am also in search

These modules do not touch. I was interested AmdProcessorInitPeim GUID DE3E049C-A218-4891-8658-5FC0FA84C788, as it contains the microcode.
Ok. Now add only AGEZA and upload within the hour.
